Two party control?

What is done with a two-party system is that differences for the two-parties are contrived to divide the people and cause distractions so that the powerful can increase their power. So currently we have gay vs. straight marriage, pro-life vs. pro-choice, Second Amendment right to bear arms vs. Gun control, Global Warming vs. Ordinary Climate Change. Realize that while these distractions occupy your time, the Rich are getting Richer and the Poor and getting Poorer.

steve, i think u are right. that has been one of my favorites saying for years. just glad i have what i have. some folks don't, of course some people weren't willing to work as hard as i did for it.

Insightful, Steve, very insightful. Although the battle of the Classes is also a distraction, along with the Extreme Left vs Extreme Right. I think what gets loss is the respect for our American political process. It has withstood over 200 years of a dominate two-party system and we are still here. It will withstand another 200 years and we will still be there. The process, along with all the check and balances and with a free press, works for our nation and it is this that makes the United States a great nation. We may stumble, but not fall. We may loose favor among other nations, but as long as we respect our process of government, we can stand and hold our head high.

Rest assured that there IS a United States Empire. Functionally the British Empire, and the Brits are now benefactors of the United States Empire. Orwell had another name for it in his novel "1984" and it is Oceania, made of the United States and the Americas and dominating the oceans. Well, the Brits relinquished control of the oceans to the United States during WWII. Big Brother is watching & it appears that you are an operative...
A huge flaw in your prediction of 200 more years of Oceania Empire is WWIII. It is coming... With biological, chemical, and especially nuclear weapons, we Earthlings are running out of time.
If we do not find a way to end bullying and war, life on Earth as we know it doomed.
