Dragonball Revolution movie review ( White Goku?)

First I'd like to say that I was never a big fan of Dragonball Z or Anime in particular. I was first introduced to Dragonball Z in high school. I was forced to watch it because everyone at school talked about it. I totally gave up on being a sheep after one season. I just couldn't get into it. I admit Goku and some of the bad guys were cool. But the fight scenes were like a bad soap opera in that they would hang the audience up in the air for days. I remember watching it and thinking just fight already. That's why I decided to watch Dragonball Revolution. The director only had a short time to put everything in an hour and half movie. Honestly I thought the fight scenes failed again. I read a few reviews that questioned Goku being portrayed by a White man. I can understand where they are coming from. I sometimes questioned White characters being replaced by Blacks in movies. I heard critics say that if they replaced Superman with a Black character people would be upset. I agree with that. There would be some people upset. The difference I think is that you can tell that Superman is white. He is not just the color white in the comics but his facial characteristic are Caucasian looking as well. I never really gave a thought about what race Anime characters were suppose to represent. They look like they could represent any race. Look at the Sailor Moon cartoon. One of the girls has blond hair. She is suppose to be Asian though. Also to people calling the film racist. The cartoon itself was racist. I remember me and my black friend in high school used to joke that the one black character in the cartoon was the fat Mr. Popo. All the other characters were cool but the one black character is a stereotype of what a black person is suppose to look like. My friend didn't like Dragonball Z either. I think that's why we were such good friends. Anyway, back to the movie. Yeah, the movie doesn't explain a whole lot about what is going on. They just expect you to know what dragonballs do and don't tell you a whole lot about why they need to find them. The relationship between the characters weren't built up. Most of the characters instantly become friends upon meeting each other. The movie is basically the same as the cartoon. They even have the same bad jokes in the movie. The acting is alright. The special effects were cool. However, I'm giving this movie thumbs down!

I saw the cartoon and liked it, however I am not interested in the movie. Well, I can't believe there are people who don't like the cartoon...and popo was cool, you're just looking for any excuse possible to dish DBZ which quite frankly I think it's pretty lame. Thank you for your review, it just convinced me not to watch a stupid remake of the great and formidable original that is...Dragon...Ball...Zzz(echoes fading away)

Your attempts are lame, not the cartoon, I just thought I might clear that up for you, because my grammar is weak and misinterpretations may occur.

I have never seen an episode of dragon ball z. And I really dont want to see this movie even though I love shows turned into movies like transformers. This just seems like a movie for kids wich is kind of dumb. Unlike transformers wich seems for more adults then kids.
