Don't try Bargain.com

Bargain network is a company that advertises on television and radio all the time saying that they will help you buy a foreclosed house for a decent price. I called them and signed up for the free thirty day trial which is $1.95. My husband and I went looking around at some of the houses they had listed on their website (Bargain.com) and found that a lot of them were already sold and some others weren't even foreclosed anymore. So basically this company is giving old and false information to people like me who want to really find a house to buy. When I called to sign up they "tele-marketed" me to deaf, talking so fast that any one who didn't listen closely would have signed up for 2 other trials, most likely which they would have forgotten about and got charged for. When I called to cancel, I told the person I want to cancel now! The operator replied with " in order to enjoy our service for 12 more months blah blah blah 39.95 a week"... Of course he was talking so fast I couldn't clearly hear the whole thing. I then said "No, I want to cancel now and not be charged for ANYTHING!" and finally he was like "OK ma'am, I canceled your account and you wont be charged." I just wanted to post this for any one who is thinking about going through bargain network because I don't want any one to fall into this scam or whatever you want to call it.. If any one has ever heard of this please comment... Thank you for reading :-)

Thank you for this information! Although I have not heard of Bargain.com before now, I think it is important for all of us to warn the rest about scams and bad deals. If we the consumer do not protect one another with warnings, who will protect us? I think we should have a topic dedicated to reporting scams and consumer fraud here.
