mom i gratuated, so what

so i told my mother i graduated from college and my response was,"well at least you'll save on gas now" i can't beleive what she says sometimes. no congrats for graduating or nothing. oh well i expected it

seems you are not happy with your graduation,is there something bothering you?I guess it's too normal for someone to graduate from college and that's why your mother didn't say congrats or something

that just not right. but either or feel good about yourself no matter if she say she is or not.. or anyone else in that matter.. it's great you did graduated.. congladuation from me

Your mom is good for you, maybe she just want to give you some pressure to look for jobs. I do feel happy when I graduated because I can feed myself then, and I'm also proud of that.

I do have a job and a very good one in my chosen career. You people just don’t seem to get it. It’s how my mother is always putting me down and I can’t do anything to please her. I’ve been taking care of myself since I was 17 paying my bills and even paid my own way through college

I don't see why your mother is not happy for you. Most mother that I know would be really happy that their offspring graduated from college. I admire people like you that are so independent. Just don't mind what your mother said, focus on your career and show her you can be successful and she can be proud of you. Congrats!!!

Your such an independent individual. I admire you for that. Maybe your mom doesn't like her "macho" image to be ruined. Maybe that's her unique way of expressing her love(?) Sometimes, my mom is also like that. I get high grades then it's like normal. Nothing more, nothing less. Like what others has been telling you, your mom might be bragging and praising you to her friends and your other relatives behind your back. Perhaps she prefers silent treatment and she isn't showy in showing her happiness for you. Don't worry, you fellow myLotters will be here to celebrate with your achievement. :D Kudos and good luck! :D

i have read what you have wrote. i am also want to expect the words like that. but i must say may be that day your mother s mood is not fine. and you need forgive you mother.your mother is not easy one to bring you up. you should say somethings to your mother, your mother need the help from you. then if your mother feel happily she will treat you more better as you treat her.
