So you ask why eat SunChips? "At its plant in Modesto, CA, SunChips brand has started using emissionless solar energy to help make its snacks. Today, 33% of every 10 1/2-ounce SunChips snack bag is created using renewable, plant-based materials. In 2010, it plans to introduce the first fully compostable chip bag of its kind. Over the past 5 years, Frito-Lay has eliminated 5 billion square inches of packaging by reducing the materials it uses by 10%. SunChips and National Geographic have joined forces to create the Green Effectâ„¢ - tell them your idea to eco-fy your community, and you could get $20,000 to make it happen, and a profile in National Geographic. (See official rules for details.) While SC's fully compostable bag will help lessen landfill loads, it'll also need to find its way to a hot, active compost bin or pile in order to decompose properly." ~Ideal Bite Will you include sunchips on your grocery list from now on? well, ya know, the last time I checked a Sunchip bag, it had corn in it, so, no, I won't be buying any...

Well, that's commendable. But it won't influence my buying habits as I'm not all that fond of SunChips. Oh, they're crunchy enough, but I still prefer the taste of potato chips, as long as they're not too salty.
