Will Tom Cat ever Catch Jerry Mouse?

I am a big fan of the Tom and Jerry cartoons. I've watched them since I was a baby and I still occassionaly watch them when I get some free time. But one thing has puzzeld me all this time. Why has Tom never been able to catch Jerry? Everytime he seems to have got jerry, Jerry slips away from his fingers! I know in reality cats usually win as they are great predators. So what's wrong with our tom cat?? Anyone know of why he keeps loosing jerry?? ..

He might like Yogi Bear. Yogi always said "I'm smarted than the average bear". So maybe Jerry's smarted the the average mouse. It's been years since I have watched this cartoon or any as far as that goes, but I can remember watching this cartoon every Saturday morning when it would come on.

I think the reason jerry keeps sliping away form Tom cat is because thats how they make up the cartoon. If tom cat caught Jerry thare would be no more Tom and jerry. PLus the cartoon is made for kids so there fore why would the makers want to kill of the mouse!

hehehe I actually know that its no fun if the cat wins but someday there has to be a finale!! Ok maybe we dont want to make the kids cry... Nice one guys thanks for your response...

I agree Jerry is a smart mouse and although I hate mice and rats but jerry is soo cute!
