Well a few years ago I started suffering from an irritating condition.... I just feel a terrible itch and all that I want to do is blowing my top off and scratching my back. If I am at home it is not a problem but if I am at work I have to go to the rest room and take my top off there. Once it happened while I was driving and I had to park my car. I could not continue driving....
I have asked my doctor who did some blood tests and said that I am healthy and it might be some kind of allergy and there is nothing much you can do about it.
Allergies are tricky to diagnose he said. His explanation was that I was feeling stressful.... I am suffering this condition during the change of weather... it always starts late April or beginning of June.
When it happens I just take a cold shower and change my clothes and try to relax as much as possible....
What is your suggestion that I should do.?

I have a balance impairment which has been diagnosed after a lot of years of research, but the fact that I have trouble with my larger motor skills is something that they still can not put their finger on. Also, they have no clue whether or not by balance impairment will get worse or better throughout the upcoming years of my life. It may get as bad that I will not be able to walk anymore, but it might cure aswell. All they know is that I was born with it.
I also have itchy eyes and loads of sneezing during the hayfever period, but they couldn't diagnose me with anything related to that.
Not knowing what to do about a condition can be very tiring and difficult. I hope you will be able to find some form of relief soon, Ronaldinu. All the best *hugs*

i had this irritating condition too. my skin breaks out into hives that iches horribly. it all started some time back. i saw a specialist and she didn't know what's wrong too. she told me it's like someone came into a room, switched on the lights and left without switching it off. i was on antihistamines for 18 months before the attacks became less frequent. before it was a daily affair. now it only happens once in a blue moon and the attacks are much milder.

Did you have chicken pox when you were young? Then it could be shingles. If not, you might be allergic to something. So what you have to do is to buy soap that does not have any perfume in it and get your wife to use non perfumed laundry detergent and use vinegar instead of fabric softener. However since it is in Spring, it is possibly an allergy to something like some pollen and allergies can come quite quickly.

I would look up rhinitus, hay fever, seasonal allergies. Maybe something in there would sound like what you have. Also dry skin can make a person itch like crazy. Since I hit menopause, my skin is very dry, if I don't put lotion on after a shower or bath, I itch like crazy. I also have to have hypo-allergetic clothing soap and use way less than the instructions on the package. If the final rinse still has soap suds, you have soap residue on your clothes when they dry and that can drive you out of your mind. So lower the amount until the final rinse has no suds in it. The way they keep concentrating soapsuds, we'll need a thimblefull to clean a load. Hope something I wrote is of help to you. You're not alone.

It sounds like it might be a reaction to sweat and your clothing. Change your laundry detergent to one that doesn't cause allergies. Before you go out in the morning powder your back with corn starch. You can even take an over the counter
allergy medication which says it will help with itching. Did you see a Doctor who was a specialist in allergies? It might be worth it for you to do that. Good luck

Yes it seems an allergic reaction to my own sweat. I dont think its a detergent problem. it is hard to find out what it is really

Hey ronaldinu! Yes, it does sound like some sort of sensitivity to the change in the weather. I know it's a pain in the rear end, but, it's not serious.
You could buy a back scratcher. That way you wouldn't have to necessarily take your top off each time you want to scratch your back.
I have the same problem with my kidneys. I know I have some kind of chronic kidney problem, but, everytime I go to the dr and they do tests they swear up and down that my kidneys are fine. This really has me stumped.

i also suffer the same thing like you... i feel itchy all over my body from head to toes every night when i want to go to bed... the weird thing is, it happens at night time only and when i am in bed... so i am suspecting that there is something not right with my mattress because my hubby is suffering the same thing as well... so we are thinking of changing our mattress and see how it goes... good luck with your itchy condition... hope it will be fixed soon... take care and have a nice day...

well there are many such things very minute problem is there but they can make your situation pitiable like in your case, going to teh restrooms or stop the car....i have such problems only in wintyer here, as the skin becomes very dry and that too i can manage ...we have to apply oils or lotions to manage and if we become a bit careless then yes , it happens that as u lie on the bed, it feels that we have to scratch here and there and if the carelessness increases then the feet give out small bristles which help you in that scratching
..temporaray relief but loss for the long run...
...just take care and find out what doesnt suit u...maybe synthetic clothes etc...we come to know if we pay proper attention and then avoid that thing, u will be at rest, i think no serious medication is needed.

It sounds like it could be nerves or allergies. Me and my son both have skin allergies .( eczema )You might have a sensitivity to perfumes, dust and other allergens.Sometimes when my son has his itchy breakouts I give him Benadryl and a nice oatmeal bath and that usually works. When I have Itchy breakouts I use a prescription medication called Atarax ( or the generic name for it is Hydroxyzine ). I have been taking this since on and off for 17 years. The only problem is that it makes me VERY sleepy . It's best to take an hour before going to bed. But it does work great when I breakout and start itching like crazy. Ask your doctor about Hydroxyzine or take some Benadryal . Also when you bathe use a unscented soap or oatmeal soap then apply hydrocortisone cream after a bath or shower. When you use a combination of oatmeal bath/shower,hydrocortisone creams and Benadryal together the itch usually goes away. Good Luck!

I think i am on the verge of ruling out shingles... and I suspect it is an eczema but I cannot understand how it is triggered off.

Yes, I suffer from an undiagnosed health condition. I get these attacks where I go deaf in my left ear and so it makes me dizzy and faint. Sometimes my whole world spins and then I get sick to my stomach and sometimes I throw up.
The attack lasts about 15 minutes to half an hour and then I am so weak and tired I usually sleep for about three hours after. Sometimes it doesn't make me feel weak and then I end up getting about 3 or 4 of these attacks a day.
I have been to a few specialists and they can't figure out what is wrong except to say for some reason the nerve behind my eardrum swells up and it blocks my ear drum and that is why I go deaf in that ear.
My ears hurt all of the time and ring all of the time. I have pains in them, almost like having a cold in my ears, but I don't. I have suffered with these ear problems for about 7 years now and can't seem to find a doctor that can help me so I have to just live with it for now.

it sounds like you might suffer from hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) and unless you are having your sugar levels checked during an episode is can go undetected.

I've had it all checked out. I went to the hospital once when I was having one and my blood pressure was so high they kept me for 5 hours till it went down. I think it has to do with that but my doctor says no.
I need to find another doctor as I don't get along with the one I have now because he just keeps telling me it's a physocological problem and I need a therapist. So I went to one and she told me I needed to find another doctor as this is physical and she told him that but he still tells me it is all in my head.

I do have a condition that has yet to be diagnosed .. the left side of my body swells and I can hardly walk when it does it.. I've been to specialists and everything.. no one seems to know why this is happening. it makes me feel so achy... this is why I'm sitting here at 4:30 am... I can't sleep because I feel bad.
As for your itching.. have you went to WebMd.com and typed in your symptoms? it might be helpful.

have you lived or worked in the same area since it started? im wondering if maybe there is a pollen or something in your area to where maybe you are getting it on you when you go home or to work etc.. since its only at certain times of the year that pretty much rules out allergies to laundry detergent etc.. are their certain foods you eat more around this time? does it get better when you take an antihistamine?

I moved home and I am surrounded by fields much more than I used to but the attack happens even in places far away from fields for example at place of work.

Hey ronaldinu~I kind of have a similar problem! I get this
really serious itcing on my back that won't stop and is really
hard to reach sometimes! It comes out of nowhere and I can't
stand it! I have no rash! It is invisable! I have had it now
for quite awhile. I had it all winter and it isn't going away.
I never mentioned it to my doctor. I just never thought too.
But, when I get it it is so intense kind of like you are
describing! I am quite stressed so that could be the problem,
but other than that I have no idea where it came from or why?

I am a nurse and a new one in the profession. I work in the critical care unit of our third level hospital here. as what i have noticed many of our patients have undiagnosed health conditions that when given importance have already excacerbated and have given worse symptoms to the patients. It's hard to manage patients with conditions that are already worse although some are in the early stage and can still be managed and corrected during the hospitalization. So i guess i would say that we should continue to look over our health and take care of it. As they say, health is wealth. cheers!

I would maybe seek another opinion on it to see what can be done about it. I was bitten on my back by a mosquito a few years ago and it was where I couldn't reach so it wasn't itched even though for a few days it drove me nuts. I tried itching it on the doorways of my house but didn't get much relief. Now a few year later it still bothers me and itches when I least expect it to and I can say it doesn't itch all the time but when it does it drives me nuts.

I probably do suffer from an undisgnosed health condition. Since you are male I won't go in to details because mine would be a womans problem. I will spare you teh details. As I am sure you do not wish to hear about that. Another however has something to do with me getting sick at night. I was diagnosed with acid reflex..it has either gotten worse or I was misdiagniosed. AS I have had a steady weight problems ince than.

Have you tried using a different washing detergent? You may be allergic to the one you're using, or if your shirts are made from a man-made fibre, rather than pure cotton, perhaps you should try one pure cotton one. You may be allergic to something in the fibres of your shirts.
Of course, it could be something in your blood but if you've been examined by doctors and had blood tests included in that examination, then I would think the fault lies somewhere within your clothing, either the fibres or the washing detergent, or fabric softener, if you use that.
Brightest Blessings.

well I don't always go to doctor even for routine medical check
the one that annoys me a lot is my allergy and I'm slightly anemic too
last year my insomnia got worse because of stress over finance
but this year I try to keep my stress under control
when it comes to weather I have problems with winter
I like snow and christmas I just don't like it that snow comes with minus 28 or lower temerature
I never go to doctor for that but if I go he will just say what I already know
that I have to get used to it, because I came from a tropical country
so basically if I do have anything undiagnosed, I wouldn't know
why don't you take allergy test? sicne your doctor already said that possibility. if nothing shows up then you know it's stress

i have a dizziness that comes on me often. some doctors have said its my lack of oxygen and others have said its tinitus to do with my ears. i worry because my mom had a brain tumor. 6 yrs ago i had a brain scan and they couldnt find anything.
this used to be a joke id tell everone. nothing in my head. anyway, i still think they are guessing and dont know what causes it. have you tried seeing if its maybe just dry skin on your back? perhaps a rub with lotion some times.

Hello my friend ronaldinu Ji,
I am very much effected by Skin-problems. Some 25 yrs ago, I noticed, during summer
season, when temperature rises more than 40 deg Cent. It used to become to tolerate
even an underwear for my hubby. He would apply special type of mud to soothen his body.
Then as per medical advise, he reduced using soaps and detergent, since 20 yrs now, he
is only washing his hand feet and face with anti-septic medicated soap and never applies
soap on whole body, only when he takes hair-cut. I am sure, you have to closely and
constantly watch behaviour of your body, as and when you take any new food item. It
may not suit. Also, my hubby mixes Liquid - paraffin while taking bath. But you
please take medical advise. Following site may help you to Zero your un-diagnosed
problem.
