I know people like that and at times it can be funny. I don't make fun of them but I laugh when I think about it. I'm not complaining as I love the person I know like this very much as hes still one of the best people I know.

I know some people who are overly-skeptical, I know some people who are under-skeptical. It's something that varies person to person, but it's beneficial when you have a healthy balance of skepticism!

It sound like the person you are referring to is your husband.lol Well sometimes I'm skeptic too. Usually I ask for proof before I believe on them.

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you're already married by the way you describe your partner.

I am a bit of a skeptic. It takes having someone disappoint you or more than that several people disappoint you and it takes a while to get over it. No you should not laugh. It is really a little sad. It took me a while to get to trust people. So be patient with your friend and let him know that you will be there and people are not the mean ones who will break his heart.

are you talking about those people that question everything you say? like you could tell them you seen on the news blah blah and they are like "i dont believe that.. where is your proof?" then you show the proof and they STILL dont believe you? i hate those people! i had some probs in the past on here where i would provide a link to what i was discussion that was from news or whatever site that was a good source of accurate info and they would say im lying or that its impossible!! i was like uhh did you even LOOK at the link?? i mean i think you should question everything but not to the point of making an @ss of yourself

theres a stigma of negativity going on in society these days and some people can't seem to snap out of it when its reasonable to do so.

Hey elmiko! I don't think that being skeptical is something that is funny. I don't blame someone for not trusting or believing so quickly! Maybe they are being the smart one! Sometimes it is good not to be too trusting! Some of us are too trusting sometimes and we are the ones that end up getting laughed at! So before you think about laughing at someone who is skeptical, think about the fact that maybe they are the one who is just be cautious and smart!

no it was a conversation i was listening to from my family member who was having a disagreement with his dentist about an x-ray. the dentist told him the problem he had. he said something like i don't trust x-rays and went on to say "how do you think he exactly know this about x-rays". i was thinking in the back of my head hes a dentist.

All you have to do is live a few years and you become skeptical about things. It's better to look for proof before you believe what people say, especially the Press.

I am one of those people. LOL I like to see something proven as a fact, because I will trust it or believe it. It's easier not to be taken advantage of, that way. I'd rather come off as being too skeptical, than to be thought of as a pushover, and taken advantage of.
