Does your work still have it's busy seasons?

A random work pic! - Here's a random pic from work (at the dry cleaners). This was actually on a not-very-busy day (obviously - I had time to take a picture! lol) but I just wanted to get the point across of where I work. [em]happy[/em]

Despite the economy..Does your job still have a busy season? When is it? And how has the economy affected your busy season? For me, in the dry cleaning business, right now is our busy season - April and May are our busiest months. Our numbers are about the same, but we have more and more people coming in with coupons and things like that. What about you guys?

The Economy going sown the track has not had that much impact in my job. As I am a college teacher, we are the least threatened with this crisis and the plus point is that we are Government undertaken and get our salary monthly without any problem. So fat your question as if or not busy season this is yes and no both. Busy in the sense that now we are engaged in scanning the answer scripts of the final exams which we are supposed to go to a particular zone and evaluate on the spot, though however we are paid for that. And not busy in the sense that we do not have to get engaged as we do not have to stick to our routine classless. So?

I'm working in a technology consulting firm and we do have our peak periods. Whenever there's a project, we will work day and night just to deliver the project on time. But when there's no project, we will just sit in the office doing nothing much except documentation and maybe some trainings. But ever since the economy crisis has hit our shore, the IT industry in my country has been one of the worst-hit industries. Not a good sign especially for a consulting firm. In fact, my company has just decided to cut my team's salary by 40%. Currently, most of us are looking for a way out. Well, maybe it's not really a good idea to be working for a consulting firm during times like this. It's better to go for an end user environment. Time to lay low. :)

you're last words is time to lay low, which mean that there is a possibility that you would find another job.well uh! that's a little bit complicated things to decide. in making your decisions wisely you must consider a few things to ask which are the following: How much do they depend on you as one of the consulting firm? do you think leaving would be a good idea? do you think they would be happy once you leave at the middle of crisis? and as fAr as considering the job hunting these days do you think you would be able to find a far better than you're job today? you have to think about hte cponsequences..you are still fortunate..will be also fortunate once you will leave..?

Not really busy season for this month until May. At least I have a less of work, until next month. However my busiest work will be on the following month until the year comes. With regard to economy, prices on high and I'd never see the prices stabel when it comes to this season. All round is affected by drought. So you're in busy this season how about the rest of the month? How about other? Guy's share! How about love life? sweet hmmmm!

I work at FedEx (you know that and we still have our occasional busy seasons, although they're nothing like they used to be. September is usually our most busy season, with the start of the fall & the school year - but this year wasn't qutie as busy because of the recession.
