do you have any questions about the reason why you always study so hard?what's your opinion about the purpose of learning. In china,as we all known that every student had been forced to learn more and more things at entering the school when we were approximately eight-year old .of course,we can not deny someone who indeed like learning knowledge. what i wanna say is that so many compulsory subjects such as math, chemistry, phisics may not be a good idea.At least i do think so.for many courses we have make effort to study so hard are useless.i major medicine .Math and phisics are almost not necessary. In addition to ,faced with so severe medical environment,i dont know how my future will be .Finding a suited job is really a tough task. i have spent tow-thirds of my 22 years life in school.i am not sure if i should go on my school work . can you tell me your suggestion?what do you think the significance to study?

I think study is a painful thing for most of the sudents in China. We just learn many subjects although we don't know why. We are put under strong stress just to meet parent's expection. Sometimes you have done your best, however, you still don't get a high score. then you will suffer from blames even physical punishment from school or parents. For the majority of students, study has become an absolute boring and painful things. I think the current education pattern of China should be changed.

I think we study to build you knowledge base. If we do not study then who will we learn. Learning new things are always very important that is how you learn to take decision. If you don't know anything then you can not judge any thing and act wisely. Studying is also important because that's the only way you can get a job. Earning money has a direct connection with your knowledge. I don't think that the compulsory subjects of the school are not important. Because everybody should have some of the basic knowledge of the fundamental subjects. It also help us in determining which subject we love the most so that we can continue with that subject in high school and then in college. Best of luck. Welcome to mylot.

when i was a student, i always puzzled about this questions.we learn something much and forget it much.why we have to learn many things that are used for us in the future? why we have to learn by school education.nowadays,i leave school and work.i understand what i have to learn things that are used for me.and i don't wast much time to learn unused something .i think this process you have to grope for a long time ,i hope you have a good mood and find which is impossible for you. in the end ,i wish you have happy everyday.

I study not just for the purpose of finishing my college degree, aside from learning from others academics subjects which were mostly applicable. But the most importance of studying is to learn to apply our learning when we go out outside the school after graduation. i witness many students finish their college degrees and yet not beome succesful. When, they are introduce to outside worlds they tend to commit failure, because the most wisest learning of studying is best obseve outside the realm of studying in schools. The actual learning only begin after school, that is the basic application of theory we learned from school and put it into actual practices. Whether we perform excellent in schools does not justify the facts that e would excelled outside. Trying to observe and experiments, we saw our input and outcome of studying should elevate wisdom substantially Thus, we reap from our efforts, thus, evidence as we find a jobs that satisfy us and helps tus as we grow and learn life fuller.

Sometimes it is not the knowledge that counts. The employer may not need to know how much you know. But they want to see that you put in a lot of effort into your studies, even though you may not like to study certain subjects. After all, employer wants to find people who work hard, who can put in extra effort even if they hate to do certain "dirty" job. This is known as "work dedication".

HI dude, I am glad someone like you is thinking about this too...I am about to graduate from the college, and I always have problem with the education in china. In my opinion,we have study hard for a lot of sh1t that almost 80 percent of them we may not use any more in the rest of our life..but we continue doing this:waste 20 years of our life to learn something that we will hardly use``` I just pray that they will chenge the whole education systerm in the coming years,so when I have a child,he dont have to suffer this sh1t..

Hi there! Well, basically, we are taught things that we should learn in able to be a productive person and also because we need to know them especially the basics, writing, reading and so on. Some, we have to study about to enhance the skills and talents that we already have and some, to be aware of these said skills and talents. And others, we have to study about to be an expert on certain fields or a certain field that we have chosen to be our profession or vocation.

Just like you said, many things we learn maynot be useful, but we can't change the situation,so the only thing we can do is to change ourselves to adapt to it.Maybe someday in the future ,we can use the thing we have learned.Who knows. So I think we should study more things when we still in college, because if we step into the society,we may not have so much time to learn. There is a saying, never too old to learn. So just try to enjoy your study.Best wishes for you.

I suggest you follow your heart -experience in math/physics can go a long way in this world of technology that is slowly crashing in the economy I'm a psychologist for example, studying in America, and I'm so terrified that because of our "near-to-recession" recession, quality of life is going to go down and psychologists won't be as looked to as they were for safe, non-chemical forms of treatment for medical disorders. It's going to be a pill swallowing world - so for my 2/3s of life I've been training for psychology, and now it may be a job as cut throat as a gladiator fight in future years... I'm thinking about changing my direction, but a big big big part of me wants to stay with it and see it through and hope for the best. I think that parts my heart, soooo I'm going to follow it XD ( Practice what I preach )
