Do you take the time to resolve your discussions with a best response??

I always intend to mark best responses and then forget or don't get time. I decided to start doing it the other day & found pages upon pages of unresolved discussions I had started!!
You can get so carried away starting discussions you forget just how many you have!!
The only thing I have found annoying is the having to read all the responses again to determine who has given the best response.
Do you bother to mark best reponses? Do you take the time to award the best response fairly??
Thanks for reading

Hi! I usually wait a week or so before marking them with the best. the easiest way for me to remember to do this is one day a week, I will go in the unresolved tab and read what has been posted and from there, mark the best. It does get time consuming at times, but its not that bad once you get in the habit

I usually do this after a month or two to give everyone a fair chance. After a couple of months, I usually go through all my discussions that I have started until then and give out the best responses. I do this to give everyone a fair chance as I have experienced it when a best response was already given but an even better response was later posted. I felt kind of guilty afterwords so I wait even though it is time-consuming.

That is something else that did cross my mind when I started to sort mine, What if someone actually gives a better response than the one awarded?
Although saying that the responder will be made aware by mylot that the best response has already been awarded.
Thanks

Since I started on mylot And learned what a best response was I've made it a habit to always give a best response. Some times it's been a tough choice, but I've always picked someone. I believe a best response is important for people who really think and try hard to give their views on a particular discussion. I know I do. I used to receive a lot of best responses but lately I haven't gotten any and don't know if it's because of people like you that just don't take the time to award it or maybe my responses haven't been up to parr with all the competition here! I really take my time and do spell check and think of what the person who posted the discussion is looking for. I'm not here for the money as so many other people are and you can pick them out fairly easy, the ones who ask yes or no questions, and you see them ask ten questions in 5 minutes. You know the ones, I really don't think that was the intention of the persons who originally started mylot. Anyhow thanks for letting me vent a little And have a wonderful day, Happy Posting tdemex!

I'm slightly offended!!!(ROFL) I do take the time, it's just I don't get to do it a lot!!
I do try to be thoughtful in my response & have been awarded best responses!!
Venting is good & I know exactly what you mean although I fear somewhere along the line I'm guilty of that but do try for content!!
Hopefully you'll get another best response soon x
