Do you have feel you keep in better touch because they are on Facebook?

My family just started joining Facebook to stay in touch with each other. I was just wondering how many others use Facebook to stay in touch with family. Do you feel you stay in better touch with you family because of Facebook?

I completely agree. My uncle feel that it has improved our "distant" relationship. Sometimes its just hard because we have different schedules. Now he looks at my pictures and I feel that he grows with me through my postings. Plus he has had the chance of getting in touch with another cousin that I have on my profile. Its been great playing games on there with each other too! LOL.

i didn't like facebook at first but do now, i've got the hang of it. i really only use chat, but i've talk to my best mate more now than we ever did in the past, even was talking to my cousin last night. trying to convince her to come on the girls weekend away with here mum, aunt and nanna when they come to see us. she then comes to stay with me for the weekend.
but i've not got any contact with other family, there or at least ive not found them.
i know my boss is in contact with their family, but i don't like we can't look at profiles to see if a person could be who we thought it would be.

I have used the chat function to talk with friends and family. I find that it is quite easy and gives us a chance to do other things on Facebook while talking to them.
I like that feature about Facebook. I feel I have a little more security over my profile I may not want others to know about, like my phone number. But you can always e-mail the person to verify they are who you think they are. I have found many old mates by taking the chance of e-mailing the person of a questionable profile.

I live two hours away from the rest of my family and we just had our first baby. Of course everyone wants updates and to see pictures of him so we use facebook to be able to keep the family informed. It would cost me a small fortune to have to call or mail photos all the time so facebook has been great on that front. I also find it to be a great way to keep in touch with all of my family and friends now that I'm busier with the baby and don't have as much free time to meet up for coffee and chat.

I definitely keep in touch with others more because of Facebook. There are friends from high school and college I probably wouldn't keep in touch with if it weren't for Facebook. Facebook also allows my sister and I to keep in touch now that she's in college and I no longer live at home. I don't know what I'd do without facebook!

I just found my husband's great niece & great nephew on Facebook so that is how I can keep in touch with you.
