The Sox have life

After a real bumpy start to the season, it looks like the Red Sox have come to life. Ortiz has started to hit, Varitek looks like he is getting some of his old swing, Youk is on fire and the bullpen has been outstanding. I knew that it was stupid but I was starting to get worried after the first three series of the year but now I am pumped for the rest of the year. The Red Sox have the best pitching staff in baseball when you look at starters and bullpen. They have a lot in reserve on the DL and the farm system as well. So this year, I expect them to have a real low team ERA even though they are in the AL East. I hope they find a way to let Masterson really have a chance at being a starter. While the Sox no longer have Manny, I think they still have one of the better batting line-ups in baseball. A lot will depend on the production of Ortiz, Lowell and Tek but if those three have anything near their career averages the team will thrive. I look forward to the series against the Yankees this weekend. My prediction is for the Sox to take two out of three. Go Sox.
