Hi myloters What would you do if you found $90? Today i was out walking the dog and i found a bank wallet on the ground it had €90 in it. I checked for id in it, but there was none. I went down to the Police station and handed it in they told me i was a honest man for doing so and that if no one claimed it i could keep it. But the thing is it did cross my mind just to keep it but i felt for the person who lost it. Do yous think it was the right thing to do our do you think i should have kept it? If you found some money what would do would you keep it our would you hand it in to the police? looking forwared to read you replies. Thanks myloters

Ohhh I guess $90 are a little price to feel myself a good and honest person. So for sure in the same situation I would like do the same you done. Is nice, sometimes, feel as the one that done the right thing, something honest, moral, correct, excellent. But..... if $90 are a little price to feel honest, feel not honest is a little price for $9,000. I mean if I find a wallet with no ID card, and 9 thousands dollars inside.... well, for sure I will keep it! ;)

i will take it to police, they will deal with it. i have many times found money in the road, i feel not very well if i don't hand it to the person who lost money. if i use it. i will not feel very well that make me lost more money because for my heart don't accept the lost money.

What you have did is the right thing, and you have a good deed and save it for your next life. If I were you, I will not report it to the police....you know why? I can't trust the police here yet. If the police is trustful, I'll do exactly the same thing. Good for you. BE.b

I would probably turn it in as well... I know how I would feel if I lost my wallet, although I rarely carry cash anymore, everything is paid by debit. It would be a real pain to have to replace my drivers licence, health card, etc. and then worry about cancelling all my credit cards. It's nice that there are still honest people like you out there!

Wow! You are an honest guy and for how times are right now many people in that boat wouldn't have taken it to the police station but would have taken it and ran with it. I think you did the right thing by turning it in and hey in the end you may be able to keep it. I always try to remember Karma when things like this happen in life. If you would have lost your wallet you would have wanted someone just like you to turn it in. I know me personally as much as I am hard pressed for money I would have turned it in and just crossed my fingers that noone claimed it so I could keep the money as a "reward" for my good deed! :)

I do hope somehow they are able to track the person that lost that. I wonder how they can track the person without any receipts in it, and did you give your information if the person does come forth, or are you choosing to stay annonymous? This was a kind gesture indeed of turning back in the $$, and I am hoping that the person who lost it will be found.

You are indeed a very honest person. I must say the temptation to keep the money would have been too much, but then again, if without an id in the purse, and taking it to the police station, the police would probably have kept it himself. So, had I been in your place, I would have probably kept it. Yes, if there was an id inside, then msot definitely I would call up that person and return his wallet. 90dollars may not be too much for us, but to a struggling person, its a life line and probably he and his family would have to go without basic necessities for some time. So, I think you were destined to earn this, so do not feel bad. God has His own ways of helping.

hey there. for me, i have a strict rule of never ever picking up money or things on the ground that don't belong to me unless some one has asked for your help or you wanna help some one pick it up to be returned right away. i always felt that if i had walk pass some money i saw on the floor that someone whose more in need than i am might be lucky enough to pick it up and hopefully it turns their day right around. or maybe someone whose having a bad day or feels like they're nothing but bad luck would pick it up and their mood will turn right back around. when there's a huge sum of money on the floor however. i always pick it up and i will most definitely hand it in to the police it could have been very important to the person who dropped it, and if the police returns it to me as no1 has claimed it i would most definitely donate the money to a charity. i have picked up money and donated it quite a few times only cause nobody claimed it, let me tell you first hand, you will most definitely feel like you've done the right thing.

I am going to be straight forward and honest but I would keep it. What you did was nice but if I was walking and found $90 I would keep it for a day before i decide to spend it. I found $50 dollars while going into a store parking lot and at that moment I did not have any money and I needed some personal items and I was thankful for it, it helped me out. Everyone I know would have kept it without thinking twice about it. The economy is doing bad right now and people can't even make it.

Well,in my country,if I find some money on the ground,I will find the loser myself---if I could do that by related information. If I cannot find the guy,I will keep the money, since you know,it is difficult to find an office to deal with this kind of problem. The police?Come on?In China,Police cannot be believed at all.Maybe I could use this money to do some good things, and giving some of them to the beggar is also a good choice.

Hi,fergus I think you may keep it as long as you have tried to find the losers.90 is not a big number, and maybe the loser doesn't care about it.You are a honest man! However,if you find 1000 or more,I don't think you can keep it even no one come to claim it.Since it is just 90,just keep it because no one will claim it. Have a nice day!

It seems like we are on the same frequency. I found a wallet too recently with no id inside. The money are still in it and the wallet is still on the shelf, but it has become my property. I mean I don't know who to trust in this world, and I have to say that I don't trust the police either. The wallet has no id in it. If you return and ask them if someone picked it up, they can easily say yes. If you ask for their name, they might say they don't want to tell you because of data protection or something similar. If it had an id, well that would have been a totally different story. May you receive so many blessings for your good intentions.

First off, you are a very honest guy! I dont think I would hand it in if there was no ID in it. How are they going to find the owner of the wallet if there is no ID? It would suck for me to loose my wallet and have someone keep it, but I always have ID in it so if there was an honest person like yourself who found it, I would get it back. There should be more people like you in this world!

Yes, i think you are a honest person, and if i were you, i think i will do the same thing as you do. if one day we lost our wallet and someone pick it up and at last return to us, i think we will feel very happy. And so the people who lost the wallet got his wallet will feel very happy.

what is the equivalent of that to peso my dear mylotters..i think the best thing that i can do is to buy clothings but the very first things i will do is to set an offering to our Lord God..for this kind of goodness came from above then the next i can do is to give some for my parents then lastly myself..as i have said i will buy clothes.

That was really noble to turn the cash in to the police, but the person that lost it has to think it's just gone. If I lost money the last place I would look is the police station because I don't know anyone that would turn it in! You definately did the right think. Would I have done the same thing? Probably not.

you are very honest, but after handing the wallet in police,i think you can write down what you did in a paper and paste the paper in the locale.if the owner of lose property come back,he will know what's hanppend to his wallet.

you did the right thing. I would have done the same thing. check who owns the wallet, and if i cant find any identification, turn it over to the police. you did good. be proud. :)
