Is your present pet the first one you have or you have had different pets for a long time? Lola, my puppy, is my second dog. I inherited Misty from my grandson when he got ill. I had her until she died last year. For a long while I thought I would never have a dog. But then my brother gave me this naughty girl. I´m trying to train her but it´s not simple. Lola is the first dog I get as a puppy. Misty was 4 years old when she came to live with me and she knew how to behave. As it is, I am discovering that puppies and small children behave much the same Do you compare your pets? I think they have different personalities. share please.

I had my first pet when I was 12 yrs old. a 2 months old white Pomeranian pup. My sister brought him home. he was very cute but naughty. then we'd another pom dog n 2 cats. they are obviously have different personality as we human have. My ealier dogs were very quite when they grown up. But Murphy, my new pup, a pure lab, is very mischievous. he is very energetic & loves to play a lot. he have chewed my carpet, furniture, cloths books etc. n we find difficult to train him though labs r very good to train.

I got my first cat when I was 7 years old. I remember begging to keep him, as long as I took care of him...which I did. He didn't live very long, only about 5 years. He had cancer or something, although the diagnostics weren't very advanced back then. Since then I've had two cats (one at a time), both of which lived to be 20 and 21 respectively. The second cat (Patches) was as different from the last cat (DC) as night and day. Patches was an avid hunter whether for squirrels and birds or spiders. DC on the other hand I always thought of as a behaviorist. She wouldn't kill a fly, but she could spend hours watching it. Dc was very maternal to everything smaller than she was. When I got my dog Tukay (shown in avatar), Dc for all practical purposes adopted her. They were together all the time, and I never had to spend a lot of time in training Tukay other than housebreaking. Dc's been gone for over a year now, but Tukay still washes herself like a cat. Yes, pets are very much like children. The both get into plenty of mischief. Big difference though, is pets don't talk back when you say or do something they don't like.

When I was three years old I had my first pet,but I must says pets... One day,my father brought a hen to be cooked at night. But,due to bad health of my mother, the hen was not slaughtered and it was kept to be cooked the next day.Next day when I got up,and went to see the hen,I saw it has laid an egg.I was so happy to see it.So,my dad decided to keep the hen. After some days he bought a rooster and slowly we had about 30-40 of them..
