yes it is nice to have a souvenir which we collect and display it in our home as a remembrance from the place where we have visited and the experiences from the place reminds us when we saw some of our collections.

I really don't care for souvenirs. After a while they end up being a nuisance that you have to dust or they ends up forgotten in some drawer or chest.

Many times I will buy a Christmas ornament from places I have visited with my family and give it to them at Christmas time so they will have lots of memories as they decorate their tree each year.

Yes, it is meaningful to have a memorable souvenier from places during your travel. The most common souveniers are the plates carved with landmarks from the city or state. East or west on the global, very often the colorful plates are made in China. The most interesting one was the tea pot I bought from Argintina, made of ceramic with figures of singers, dancers, cofe, etc. characteristic of the south american culture.

Whenever I visit a place for the 1st time I always bring something from that place. It may be an interestingly shaped stone, a plant (seeds, cutting seedling). If there is a souvenit shop I would buy a mug which has a logo of that particular place. Its different from things I buy to give to those back home like food items unique from that place, trinkets and the like. Souvenirs are meant to be a reminder of memories for me.

Since I was a child, I always collect key chains from all the countries I visited. These served as my souvenirs. I put them in a box specifically for these collection of mine. As for my mom, she collects magnets from the countries we go to. But I would have to say the best souvenir from the place you visited would be tons of pictures and videos. These are priceless and are always lovely to look at. When looking at these, you cannot help but remember and smile because of the lovely time you had in that place.

I got a wooden giraffe when I visited Kenya. I bought a model of a house in Indonesia, a wooden musical house in Switzerland and a china house with a candle in the middle in Hungary. I have got coins and bank notes from lots of different countries. The most interesting ones I have got are a triangular coin and a three dollar note from the Cook Islands. I have got a superb collection of costume dolls from around the world. I have been to 52 different countries and have collected postcards from most of them. I would say I have got many souvenirs in my home.

When I was young, my Dad would bring me a doll from different countries that he visited. Now I like to collect christmas tree ornaments when I'm on vacation. I enjoy every time we put up the tree to see the ornaments and remember when we were at that place. Sometimes though it is hard to find an ornament. My sister-in-law does this also, she the one that gave me the idea.

Hi there. Well, I usually like to keep souvenirs of places that I visit, even if it's something as simple as a key chain or a refrigerator magnet. Also, I definitely make it a point to take pictures and such of the places that I visit.

I haven't really traveled a lot outside my province or country. The farthest I have gone to were Cebu and Manila. In Manila, we didn't stay there long enough to look for any souvenir. We had pictures though and that's the best kind of souvenir I could have. If I get to a new place within our province, I usually bring home a rock and mark with the name of the place where it came from.

Yes, I love to buy souvenir from the places I traveled. I prefer to buy something that I can use. As much as possible I avoid buying key chain and figurines. I rather buy a shirt from this places.

I used to bring all sorts of souvenirs from my trips. But now I only buy souvenirs that are useful. My house is too full of mementos. The easiest are Tshirts which I also buy for my younger grankids. I also buy mugs. Happy posting

sometimes, yes. but often, i give them away as gifts. i like buying souvenir items, but it gets bulky when i travel. since i come from a big family, i'm likely to buy 30 tshirts and several of everything i fancy. i like to give them to my family and friends who were not able to travel. i've been blessed to have that kind of opportunity so i'd like to share it with others who just stay at home. i have a very vivid memory and almost all my experiences, i remember to the details. but i often forget to buy a souvenir for myself. all i keep is a memory etched in my mind. there are certain places i visited in the philippines that i didn't buy a souvenir from, i don't even know if they sell souvenir items in lamitan, basilan and jolo, sulu. but those places have memorable experiences for me. and such a long story to tell. hehehe indonesia has a lot of arts and crafts, if you happen to visit there, it's a haven for souvenir items. :)

Oh yeah. When i was in high school, i remember collecting keychains from different places i visited. I actually bought 45 pcs of keychains to give to my classmates and some of my classmated did the same thing. Those keychains are kept together with my high school memorabilia. At present, im starting to buy souvenirs from places i visited like when we were in Rome,i bought a miniature of collosseum and a rosary from vatican city.

Yes, I always took souvenirs whenever I go to a new place because I want to have some reminders that I'd gone to that place. It's nice to have some pictures for souvenirs in the photo album and reminisce good old days later on.

If possible yes, of course depends if it is affordable or not, but sometimes even bracelets, anklets, or ring, I'll buy them as a souvenir. ^_~
