hello i recently made a trip to Malaysia and brought a enclosure for my old 2.5" sata ps3 hard drive. any way i put it in the enclosure properly and plugged it into my computer it recognized the device and installed. but i couldn't go on it, for example if i look in my computer i cant find it as a device... i think the problem is that it doesn't have a location it says "location 0" please help sorry if its a little confusing^^

did you plug it via usb? where do you see that "location 0"? tell me more. i might be able to help you.

maybe it wasnt configured properly. did you follow the instruction on how to install it on a computer (read userguide included in the package)? or maybe your drive has different configuration that is not compatible with your pc or the OS you are using.

most people say that ps3 harddisk can be used on a pc as an ordinary storage device if you will format it using your pc but you cannot use it again on your ps3 unless you format it using your ps3. its because ps3 use different kind of file system that cannot understand by a computer. if you will insist the connection, it might damage the files stored on your storage device or worst damage your device.
