Recently ive started to use the search feature to search myLot for discussions on my interests and sometimes even pictures. I've found it generally works pretty well. So do you ever use the myLot search feature? Do you search for discussions from your interests? Pictures? Tasks? Whats your experieneces with the search feature?

The search feature is definetly a great addition to myLot, I wonder if it has been around since the start of myLot? I would be interested in hearing what myLot was like if it didnt have a search feature. Thanks for the response.

Hi there! I've used it several times if I need to be sure that my post has not been discussed before. The purpose of the mylot search engine is for finding related topics to avoid posting of similar discussions. That is why we have to submit tags so that our posts are always registered in the search engine. And by doing so, we are also helping the site to organize every post submitted. Ciao!

Yes the search feature relies on people correcting tagging things, so its important to tag correctly. I think the search feature should also use the words within a discussions title to help users find things if people mistag a discussion. Its definetly helpful in keeping myLot organised and its a great feature to check up on duplicate discussions. Thanks for your input.

Me too. It is also the quickest way to find if your idea for a discussion has been used recently. I say recently, because it is almost impossible not to repeat a discussion from the preceding years.

Thats a good idea! I didnt think about using the search feature that way. I will definetly do that from now on. Thats true that discussions get repeated every year or so, but I think thats a good thing, it allows people that didnt respond the first time to input their thoughts, it also allows people to re-discuss, since their opinions may have changed.
