I first watched Susan Boyle's audition piece on Britain's Got Talent where she sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables. I already fell in love with her singing voice when she sang the the first line! Who would think that a frumpy, chubby old woman could wow the most snobbish audience and get a standing ovation. I could never forget her stance, that arm on her waist like a kettle! I thought it was rather funny. At first I thought she was like one of those crazy wannabees who are just out to give the judges a stressful day. She didn't. No one was disappointed with her performance. But her fame did not end there. That video on youtube.com earned millions of views and the commenters are raving about her talent! I am so glad that Britain does consider talent more than looks, unlike most Filipino celebrities who don't have talent but are being forced to perform just because they looked good on camera. Anyway, speaking of looks, Susan Boyle was spotted with a new hairdo in her hometown in Scotland. The style is still short but the waves are more controlled and she has died it in a darker color which suited her complexion. I actually like it. But on closer inspection on her photo on Yahoo, I noticed that she looked different and not just because of her hair. I think that she also had her eyebrows done! And to her advantage, mind you. I like her overall new look now, not that it mattered how she first looked because it was really her voice that made everyone fall in love with her. I am not sure where this new found fame will lead Susan Boyle. I just hope that she doesn't change her looks too much. Her voice is enough to put her to stardom. And like she said, "What is wrong with looking like Susan Boyle?" Way to go Susan!

I watche the youtube clip of her perfomance in Britain's Got Talent... an i must say that she has the voice of an angel... but she should definitely improve her look... not that she is very ugly... but since she is already a celebrity... she should be a good role model to the young and old alike... She might not be that pretty... but having a clean and comfortable look will surely boost her confidence more...

I've seen her new look, and I think it is attractive yet still natural-looking. Just because she became famous looking frumpy doesn't mean she should stay that way just to make her fans happy. I'm sure I would have done the same thing, although it's doubtful I'm going to suddenly become famous like she did!
