going out for dinner

I don't care how much it costs, I cannot face another dinner that I have to make. Do you ever feel complete burnout when it comes to making a meal? Do you get to go out? If so how often? Usually I can come up with something, but right now I can't think of a thing I want to make much less eat.

Hi savypat, We all need to get out once in a while and enjoy a meal that we had no part in preparing. We don't get out a lot because we are on a fixed income but make sure that we do at least once a month. Blessings.

That sounds soooooo familiar! Lots of times I don't want to cook so much that I don't want to eat. All the tastes just seem to go bland or something. I don't know why that is but it wouldn't matter what I made on those days because I wouldn't TASTE it as it went in my mouth.

Unfortunately I don't just cook for me. If I did it wouldn't be much, I've been cooking for to many years and am tired of it. I do watch cooking shows once in a while in hopes that it will inspire me.

Oh, I cook for my family too. I just don't want to eat it because it's been made so many times. I personally can't stand cooking shows. Hope they help you.

Hey pat! I know how you feel! It happens to all of us! Like tonight! I just couldn't decide what I wanted to eat for dinner. My boyfriend works in a college cafeteria cleaning up and he gets his meals there because he gets home at 10:00pm. So it was just dinner for me. I took out some bacon and decided to make myself some french toast with it! I am happy now! Sometimes it takes a simple meal like that to just make it! I know that when you're feeding a family that might not work out as well, but simple meals are sometimes fun!

I ended up with home make chicken soup and grilled cheese and tomatoes sandwiches. That worked out ok, Hubby says we can't afford to go out and he's right, hate to spend all that money and then flush it several hours later.

yes i have those days so i either order in or we go out , on sundays it's family day so we go out most of the time so we all get the day off, in the summer i really don't eat much because it makes me sick for some reason so i only eat a little so i put things on the grill flip them and call it a day i hate being in the kitchen when it's hot outside it drives me nuts but i can't aford to go out every night or call out every night so i just grill it.

I only dine out when someone invites me and then I go to good restaurants. Fastfood doesn´t agree with me. I love to cook and I invite a lot for diner. I suppose I dine out about 3 or 4 times a month and have company at home at least another 4 times.

I agree I don't eat fast food at all, I'd rather be hungry, it gives me such indigestion.

Sometimes its the whole experience of getting out and being waited on that is the real enjoyment. I think its expensive too, and cant afford to do it all the time which makes it more special for me when i do. I love looking at all the amazing choices on the menu but i usually just pick an old time favourite or slight variation thats not to risky becauses im scared to pay all that money on something im not sure i will like. I love seafood but when that is too expensive i like to try a salad or pasta dish.

Hello, tonight for dinner it is going to be taco bell so I won't have to cook either. Maybe 2 times a week we get take out or go to some place for dinner.Friday night used to be fajitas night but that was when my b/f lived with me but he had to stay back where we used to live so he could continue working. Im not good at making fajitas but maybe I should have my b/f show me how he does it when we get to see each other every other week.

most people like to eat out because it is a change of taste. well, i eat out regularly but still i feel that eating home made food is much better than eating outside.
