we got the house!

We put a bid on a house two days ago and we got it! yay!
I am so excited! I am very glad I started packing as soon as I did!
The closing date isnt far away! =)
How long did it take you to move?
Meaning from the time you started carrying things from the old house to the new house, how long was it until all of the things from the old house were in the new house??

I have been very lucky, my last 2 moves were corporate and I didn't have to pack, the movers did it. My next move maybe a 5 year adventure since I have been in this house for over 20 years.

When we learned that we were moving, it took us a week to wrap everything up, and the next time, it took even less. The last time, the movers came and wrapped the stuff for us and it took just a few hours. Then we went in the car and the van went ahead of us, so by the time that we were at our house, the van was right there and all we had to do was to open the house and they took the stuff right in.
So it really was not that long, but then we were moving from Saskatoon to Winnipeg and it would have taken half a day to go back to pick up any extra used stuff.
It is usually best to start packing as soon as you can. Oh and congratulations on getting your house!

Well, the last time we moved was when I moved into my husbands place around the time we got married. It only took a day or two to move everything since it was not that Big of a place. We are really wanting to move from the Condo we are buying and get something else, but we have to sell our place first, but am sure it would take a couple of days, but be so worth it for sure.

Congratulations!!!Well, my last move was pretty quick. My friends helped me pack and we had everything packed in four hours. Yes, they are quick and efficient, and it was just me lol. The move up here though took me three days, maybe four-lost track lol. I just remember coming to this part of South Dakota and being so sleepy that I swear I saw a sign that said "House of Wax", and my fiance and I had seen that movie when he was down just before my move. So, I pulled off in a rest stop, parked between two truckers and slept for a bit. Turns out it said "House of Dolls" lol, which is just as creepy!
