Do you dumb yourself down when you're around your friends?

Do you, or have you ever "dumbed yourself down" when you're around your friends? By that I mean talk a certain way (an "unintelligent way", if you will) Or do you think this is the natural way of being casual around others? What's your opinion? And let me know if you need me to try to rephrase the question, as it's sort of confusing.

No, I do not do this. Maybe when we're playing I may act silly but I don't believe I would call it "dumbing myself down" I think I know what you are getting at with that question, and no, I'm pretty sure that I do not.

I always dump myself down around my friends. Sometimes I don’t know what I have to say. i are afraid that I will take a wrong words to them ,and they will look down me. I don’t want to show my ignorance and immature to them . and they will not respect me. so I always choose dump myself down around my friends. I don’t want to say many words that will hurt someone. then we are not friend again. And I am afraid my friend will revenge me for my wrong words or decision. Do you think am I right?

Generally, no. I tend to gravitate towards those that I don't need to deconstruct my sentences for. Now, online is another story. There are times where I have to write in simple sentences so that those reading can understand the point I'm making, or at least that is how it feels lol. I've also had to deal with the "You're a snob" routine when someone doesn't understand what I've written. I mean, if someone doesn't truly understand the words you've written down, can't use a dictionary, then at least they could do is ask you what you what you meant. Namaste-Anora
