Noisy Keyboard: As if your typing on a Typewriter

Well, I'm talking about those heavy ones and not the electronic ones.. well, if you can find any of those around shops since we mostly do our documents on computers after all. Anyway, I have always liked the sound of typing on those old school typewriters. Hearing how you hammer each key and as if your making rhythm and music, especially when you try and type on the next line, that bell sound.. I tried looking through the net if we could integrate such sounds while we type on our computers and luckily, I was able to find Noisy Keyboard I tried it at work at first and some of them got surprised that he heard something when he started typing. He typed happily even though he was typing something serious for work.. (^_^") Anyway, just try it, look for Noisy Keyboard online in any search engine and its easy to install and doesn't take too much space, not even one MB. Haven't experience complications with other programs.. not sure if it would work on Vista since I only have XP (^_^") For those who also share the interest of hearing those old type writers, you can try this and perhaps be more active when you type compared to just the usual keys getting pressed. It might be interesting for some members here in the site as we do type most of the time here on posting comments, reponses or composing anything.

Pigeons? Maybe you can find cat sound effects while you use the keyboard so that the pigeons would go away? Heheh, your right, it is an individual's preference.. perhaps you would like to hear something else?

Are there also keyboards that don't make any sound when you type on them? I don't know.. it just came as an idea.. I couldn't think of any reason why would anyone want a silent keyboard though..(^_^")

I love the sound of the typewriter keyboard... this is one of the reasons why i took up a typing class one summer when i was still in college... that "Ding" sound is really something... too bad typewriter are like an endangered species in the office world... less and less people are using this... except of course those who are working at the Registry of Deeds... they still use the typewriter in preparing sensitive document like Land Titles and other certificates... I will check out that noisy keyboard online and see if i can use it in my office... i am the only one working there so i won't be bothering anyone with my typewriter sound..

Hehehe~! I wasn't able to attend such classes like that but still, I really like the sound while I type.. however, I have gotten used to typing through computers and not really on real typewriters so my fingers would probably be worn out easily if I ever do try the real thing.. (^_^") Yeah, you get it online, unzip the file and the read me text files are easy enough to understand.. Hope you enjoy it (^_^ )

Well, maybe it would similar to riding a bicycle? Even when we haven't tried it for a long time, it just comes back naturally when given a chance to do it once more? I'm not really sure though.. I do type loud on our laptop or even at the computer at our office at work.. (^_^")

Those keyboard that you are talking about are those that are not good in quality. Still stiff keys that you have to pound a numerous times until they wear down and be easy to be pressed. However, the one that I was mentioning is just sound effects of a type writer.

Hi ratyz, the type wt= writer's sound was something that went in a rhythmical way. But my key board doesn't create so much of noise. This is a Logitech and very good too. I have absolutely no problems with my key broad.

Uhmmm (^_^") I wasn't actually looking for problems.. Most keyboard available and with high price tags would often be equiped with some added feature like multimedia capabilities most of the time. Then there are those keyboards that are for gaming, so it implies that they would last longer due to its design for gaming. What I posted however was not about bad keyboards, it was actually about adding something extra for the usual typing session that most of us have when we type with our keyboards.. (^_^ )

I think they still have a spring mechanism but on the internal keyboards of the laptop they have the rubber material like the one used for cellphones. Typewriter sound effect? Neat.. Been using this effect before and my team mates are wondering what kind of keyboard i'm using. LoL They are bothered by the sound of it. But the sound of it for me is like music. HaHAHA!!!

I was able to disassemble a keyboard once, just for cleaning and they are similar to keypads of mobile phones. I don't know if they would still be making springs for keyboards.. I mean, lifting it would let you know if its a bit heavy.. Yeah, my co-workers aren't all interested with the sound effect. They said that its bothering them, especially with working hours and I don't want to have an argument out of that.. (^_^")
