what's the benifit of having stars on mylot ?

hi there! the star with a number in it is the mylot reputation. it tells us how our discussions and responses are viewed by fellow mylotters. each number has a corresponding color of the star. it may go up and down several times in a day, depending on how other mylotters rate us (+-!). if you hover your mouse to the star you would see a percentage rating. right now for example, you are at 77/100 or 8 stars. to become 9 stars, i think you need 85/100 at least. and 95/100 for 10 star rating. we acquire a mylot reputation once we reached 100 posts to our name. when i first had my star rating or mylot reputation i had an 8, same as yours. the reputation tells us how well-liked our posts are. since it's the other mylotters who rate us, there's not much we can do to influence how they rate us (positively or negatively). the idea is just to enjoy mylot, keep on doing quality posts... and the ratings will follow. goodluck. hope this helps. :)

May I answer your questions. The star means your reputation on myLot. And to receive a reputation, you need a 100 rate.
