Do you own your own home? is this your first one or have you had more? were they in the same area? How long have you lived where you do now.

I bought my house in january 2008. It is the first one I have owned..I have rented before. I have lived in this area for around 11 years now..longest I have ever stayed anywhere. It has mostly to do with my job. I have lived out of state but always end up back "home". I have lived in different parts of the state as well. I was raised in Knoxville but don't really want to live there again. To much city for me to stay in. Take care.

Oh I know! I have had some terrible landlords!!! I had this one that would have her daughter drive her by my house and on weekends she would visit me....EARLY! I didn't mind the drive bys or the visits either really..exceot the fact that I like to sleep in on Saturday. I get up early all week. I don't live far fron the KY border. As a matter of fact I do some of my grocery shopping in KY. I think your further west though.

We've owned our home for a little over 7 years now. We owned only one other home for 2 years right before this house. My husband was transferred to another city for his job and that's why we moved. He really like it here!

We have three more years left of mortgage then it is all ours hurray. This is the only house I have owned,it was council till my husband sold his and brought this for me.Great sometimes when things go wrong it is a pain as we have to pay for the repairs ourselves ,when it was council I just rang up and they repaired things for me in the rent payment.Fortunately my husband can mend and repair anything, the only trouble he has is plumbing sometimes we have to pay a plumber, but not very often. On the whole it is great as when it is paid for,it is ours, never thought I would have a half share in a house, but there you go,the best thing is when we retire we won't have to find housing costs out of our pensions. We have been here seventeen years as a married couple, but I lived in this house for twenty eight years, been here a long time and still love the area.xx

Yes we own a house and we are living happily over here. It is almost 5 years that we are here. Before that we use to stay at some other location but in the same city but that one is also our own house. We have given that one on rent to someone else. It was really smaller one so we decided to take this flat. It is around 1-1-30 hrs from my current location.

Thank you for responding, I am glad you are happy in your home. You must live in a very big city for it to take that long to get there from your other house.

I live in a home that my father and grandfather build. It is situated in a lovely place, far away from the city's noise. At first there was only our house but with time new family's started to build their own houses but still ours is the last on the street. I love this place and I would never change it for something else. It might not be the most beautiful building you ever saw but have a charm.

I have been living in the same home for 14 years now. We do own it. It is time for us to move on now. It was our first home and it was the perfect first home, but the walls are closing in now. I expect to be in a new home sometime within the next year.

I am sorry, I still do not have my own home. You see, I desire to own it for my future life. I move to a big city, where is full of opportunities and challenges. Of course, I get a job here, but earns less, so I only rent a house for living. Time flies so fast, I am going to the age of marriage, but I do not want to depend on my boyfriend, so I am worried with it! Anyway, if I insist on struggle for it, I must own it in the near future!Come on!

The house we live in is ours, but officially it is in my parents name as they paid for it with there equity loan....they paid for it and we pay them the payment for the loan. This way they have a write off on their taxes since their house is paid for and we get a really good deal on payments....but if a few years when the market picks up, we will transfer the house deed into our name and then the house will be ours to sell since it was a real fixer upper and we have been working on it since we moved in 3 yrs ago. happy mylotting.

Hi Anniefannie, I am living in the other city, i work here. But my parents have a home in my hometown. I wish i can have my own in the place in live now. But it's very expensive these days and i can't afford to have one yet. So i rent a house in the place i live. I've been living here for about 2 years now. If i ever have enough money, i want to have a house that can have a swimming pool and small garden, that will be really cool!

I have my own home in Beijing but now I live in England. I would think to sell it one day then I can buy new one in the UK. I have very good memories when I got my flat in Beijing, now I miss it. But for practical reason I have to sell it for my living in the UK. Tough but it's life. Best regards
