A man was rushed to hospital complaining of chest pains. Doctors suspected cancer and operated. They where astonished to find that the supposed cancerous tumor was actually a fir tree that was growing inside the man's lung.

That is really strange,I was shock that it do grow inside him. Now I am thinking, did I ever swallow a beans when I was a child, OMG!

Wow! No wonder that make the news. How strange. It could be the stuff of a great novel, and shocking to a lot of people that it would be non-fiction. Sometimes the best place to look for great ideas is in what is going on around us. Often the truth is stranger than fiction.

That's very true. I would not have thought that it's possible for this to happen. You're right about the novel idea - it's just what I was thinking when I read this. Maybe a parasitic plant that seeds it'self in animals.
It's not a new idea though. I remember reading a story once about just such a thing. I can't remember the author or the title at the moment though. Might have been Lovecraft..I'll have to check.
So many books - it's hard to remember them all...
