What's minimum wage in your state?

Just wondering. I just got out of a very ridiculous situation watching my friend's kids getting paid TWO DOLLARS AN HOUR FOR TEN-ELEVEN HOURS A DAY. She said I couldn't find a better paying job, basically calling me stupid. I said, helloooo have you ever heard of minimum wage?!

Well, the minimum wage here in WA state is a lot higher than the national minimum wage, but someone working for only $2 an hr. for 10 hrs. a day? I guess if your child is only like maybe 10-14 but any older than this, and that is way too low. Even online if you do Writing for sights, you can easily make over $20 a day if you work it right.
