Interested in sketching?

Hello all,
I love sketching, it is an art in which you only need a pencil and the picture that come out is so good that sometimes it feels that colors are being used.
What is your opinion on this?

I have a passion for sketching as well. I can't seem to get enough of it at times. Which can be a bad thing if I spend four hours doing nothing but that. It's hard to stop when I get really into sometimes. It's surprising how quickly time seems to go by. It's also very relaxing. When I know I'm just sketching something I don't have to worry how well it comes out or if I mess up, because it's just a sketch.

Yes you are right. But one ting I have noticed when we start sketching it seems that it is not coming out to be good but when it gets completed it is so wonderful.

I think it's great if you can do it. I'm personally NOT talented in drawing at all. I've tried a couple of times, and I have some friends who are really great at it - but I'm just not one of those people who can draw extremely skillfully. But congrats to you! It's a rare talent.

Thank you so much. I think it is good to sketch as you don't need different kind of colors. Just a drawing book and a pencil.

I prefer to use pencil only without colours. It feels very ancient and old but expressing the world very clearly---black and white.
Regarding art, it's very hard to explain, as usually art is produced by feelings and images we receive in our heads,
Good discussion though.
Does anyone know how to draw well with a mouse (computer)?
