In this modern society, seems that our juvenile is destroying their own future without any thought of it. Do you know, everyday the statistics of juvenile crime is on the rise? But, we should blame who, regarding this matter? Should blame their parents or the modern society?

I have to say the family mostly. The thing is, if the family isn't there to steer the child in the right direction, they are going to end up hanging out with the wrong crowd - or at least have a higher chance of doing so. Now I'm not saying these are families from the ghetto or anything like that. These families can also be the other extreme, like the middle class hard working family that both parents have jobs in order to be where they are at so the kids are left more to themselves. And also its the rich families as well, who buy their kids everything they want in the world and let them do whatever they want so of course the option is out there.
Overall, parents need to be more in tune with what their kids are doing. You can't blame society because you didn't teach your kids right from wrong.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me, but I tend to lay the blame mostly on the parents. I see all around me parents not being able to behave very well themselves, and therefore not able to discipline their children in a firm, yet kind way. I even see cases where the parents of children actively encourage them to misbehave, plus I feel that the materialism of the modern world we live in doesn't help. A child needs love, support and firm guidance on how to cope with life, a lot more than it needs the latest brand of designers trainers or the latest mobile phone. I appreciate that children can be influenced by outside forces, such as peer pressure, but that efficient parenting can teach the child how to cope with those influences in a healthy way and how not to be lured into bad behaviour.

i think a lot of factors contribute to the rising number of crimes committed by the youth. those you have mentioned maybe some of the factors, probably they lacked guidance from parents or probably they were too exposed to violence because of the media and the bloody video games they play. it's a sad thing that this is happening but i hope that people will learn from their mistakes and parents will give more time to look after their kids and make sure they're doing well and they're going to the right path.

Interesting question. Some blame on the families, because they came out from a broken family, or a family that won't care about their children. Some were pick a wrong direction, peer influence, hanging out with the persons they suppose not to. All sort of factors can destroy a youth's future. So, it is all up to yourself. You pick the future.

I think the people and the surroundings have the big factor here, because parents always do their part to look after their siblings. But once the kids were out of their house or in school and chances are they have this so called company of Bad Influence guys things are more likely to get wrong.
