Few years back when i was not so much into prayers and had little idea about god.....that time many of my friends used to tell me there is no god....no one died for us and no one is going to be resurrected.....many also say there is no heaven or hell....the heaven is here on earth enjoy it the most....listening to their suggestion i went ahead and got involved in ungodly practices....i believe because e of the constant prayer and support of my family and friends i came back on track..... have you come across such people who try to convince you that there is no god....and there will be no judgment day????

Hey John nice to always respond to you...Well I haven't come across anyone who says there is no God... usually they just don't believe in Him and they all think it's a myth made up to scare us all!! But yes sadly there those who are bent on twisting the truth. Remember Jesus did say that they will be a lot of such people in Mathew 24. I am quiet similar to you.. I also wnet astray and tried running away from God but the prayers from my family and friends helped so now I'm back on the Godly wagon.. My advice is dont get into arguments with such people as they will just cause you to sin. Instead respect their decision and just pray for them. Only God can convince them...

I face this at work every day. I hear flimsy excuses, but no one wants to really get into it... and I don't think that Christians are even called to argue about their faith. If Christians were able to just live out their faith in a peaceful way - for themselves, not trying to convince others - that would be enough. God does not expect US to do the work for him - He expects us to plant the 'seed' and let Him water it and make it grow. I would say that all Christians are called to do - is to quietly live out their faith, no argument, no violence, no resistance.... and wait.

nope. But i believe that GOD really exist. And there will be a judgment day will soon to come. Nowadays may be the sign for the coming of the judgment day because in the bible say, when the world start on the crisis. the judgment day will be soon to come.

I grew up in a very Christian household, but I have recently gone in my own direction, away from my family's religious beliefs. However, I would never be one of those that tries to get others not to believe in God and Jesus. Some people need that in their lives, and that is cool with me. I even plan on baptizing my children, mainly just to ease my mother's mind. I don't see the harm in it. To me, it is just a pointless ceremony, but it would mean the world to her, and I love her, so I am going to do it. I will raise my children to choose what they believe for themselves. If they choose Christianity, that would be fine with me. You claim to have met many people that try to convince you not to believe, whereas I have grown continuously more tired of the Bible-beaters that desparately try to convince me to believe again. That is why I have chosen not to inform my family how I feel. Not only would they not understand, but they would tell me I was stupid and make me feel like the poo that sticks to a cockroach's foot if I ever told them how I felt. I have found many Christians, my family included, to be the most closed-minded people I've ever met, and that is part of the reason that whole realm turns me off so much. This is not to say you are one of those people. I simply believe that everyone is entitled to believe what they want and no one should have to suffer persecution for their beliefs. But unfortunately, that isn't the way the world works.

I've tried to have a personal relationship with God. I just don't feel his presence like other people claim to. When I try to talk to God, I feel like I'm talking to no one. I could very well be wrong about it, but I suppose no one really knows until they die.

well don't want to be another bible-beater in you life...but trust me Christianity is not all that bad, but i would agree with you that many Christians are very close minded and don't always interact with people around you, no matter how well you know them....but that should not take you away from god....why not have a personal relationship with him.....trust me it makes a difference,it did to me......just a suggestion though.....and it was nice to see a honest response.......

just respect what they are believing but pray that there will come a time for them that they will eventually believe in God. because we all have our freedom of speech and if that's what they believe for then let them be... as much as you know that you're on the right track and you know that God moves into your life then why should affect on what they are saying, right? I have a lot who questions my faith in the Lord but I just smiled at them whenever they started to argue. I just smile and said " we all are entitled to our own opinion " ... your on the right track, bro! keep it up ^^

All the time, I just smile at them and tell them that I do respect their decisions but I feel differently than they do. That if they would please respect my believes by not trying to argue with me about it and I will do the same for them.

It isn't so much that I have come across people like that, it is that I am one of them but only to a degree. I would never try and tell someone that their entire religious belief is wrong. I just simply point out facts if we get into a discussion about religion, god, heaven and hell, you know the works. I try to stay out of the company of people who do push their thoughts and beliefs on others because if you don't have something to believe in, then way are you doing what you do? Why be nice if you won't got to hell either way? Why take the time to educate your self if you don't believe it will make a difference? So, again I am one that doesn't believe the same things as you on the side of religion but I do believe that people have choices and need something to believe in. Even if what they believe in doesn't make sense to me or others. My opinions don't and shouldn't effect your religious practices.

Has anybody told me that there is no God? You bet!I have so many Christian folks who tell me there is no God by their characters and how they live. They go to church each Sunday, their families included, yet they behave like the devil at home. They're rude to their parents, fight their siblings, and even say malicious things about other people. I'm a Christian, a trinitarian follower of Jesus Christ. But I don't see that religious affiliations have anything to do with going to heaven or hell. To my mind, many "Christians" who are active in their churches and say they're "born again" will end up in hell because they tell people by their characters and lives that there is no God and there is no heaven or hell.
