Has anyone ever told you a lie that has a plot hole in it?

or a inconsistency? I mean a lie as in to trick you into thinking its the truth.

Every lie has an inconsistency in it - that's why it's a lie. The person telling the lie is trying to gloss over the things that are not true to make it sound as though it's all true and to make you believe that it's all true. That's why the best lie is to tell the truth - but not all of the truth. Politicians are adept at this, and one British politician once famously accused one of his political opponents of "Being economical with the truth" A remark that clearly illustrates what I've been saying.
