Do you have a lifelong dream?

Canada

I do. I have dreamt of owning my own business since I was 14 years old. I am 35 now and it is finally becoming a realtiy for me. My advice...keep trying and never give up. I tried and failed miserably several times before this venture. Good Luck all and I can't wait to hear about your stories. Do you have a dream? Have you begun your venture? Have you succeeded?

No, I don't have one real dream which I want to fulfil. Now a day, I am trying to accumulate money to host a website which I have creaed after one year of hardwork but I would require to give money to it otherwise it will be a big fuss in the large ocean of internet websites.

I hear you. I have three websites and none of them get much traffic. I wish they did, but alas, they don't. It's so true that you have to spend so much money in order for many people to see your website. Thanks for your response.

That is why it is said that there is much more effort required in marketting a site rather than creating it. So, what cost you have to bear just for running those websites. I mean you must have to pay something in order to buy a domain, isn't it?

You want to own a car? Thats a great goal. I too want a house, a car and a storefront. Currently I live and run my business from my basement apartment. On the internet and to friends and family. I figure another year or two and I'll have my own storefront and car. The house in about 4-5 years :))

That is great that your dreams are finally coming true. I am happy for you. As for my dream. I dream of a life without problems. I dream of a life with no financial worries. A nice house, where I can sit outside in private. Looking into the water, drinking my morning coffee. With no more worries or problems, just a simple life. Being happy, eating anything I want. When ever I want. I guess it will always stay a dream. But this dream always makes me feel a little better. Take care, have a nice weekend!

I still have those dreams too, but if you work at it, it will happen. You can't sit around and wait for it to come to you...you have to get out there and make it happen. (I used to be a welfare mom, single and have a criminal record....look at me now.) I wish you the best. Thanks for your response

Which one? My overall self proclaimed purpose that whatever I do, I want to prove that even now, even in this modern world, one person, with Gods Guidance, can drastically change the world. One of my personal dreams though is to own a cozy little bakery and coffee house :) I think it would be nice :) But that is one of several, and probably the most likely to happen :) Drive is a big portion of it :) And I'm glad to hear your dream is coming true, Tamarama :D, what kind of business is it? (If you don't mind my asking :P)

I agree with you. Everyone can make a difference :)) Bakery & coffee house sounds lovely :)) My business started out with one little doll called a dmmit doll. (you can view these at http://tamaramascreations.piczo.com ) Then it built up to imported handmade jewellery, macrame and beadwork and commissions sales from others. All my stock is handmade things. I carry nothing that is factory made. I am currently updating my website to include pics of these as well. Thanks for your response :))

I think a lot of us have dreams of what we want to do or be in life. Some of us take action toward making it happen and others just wish it will happen. It is never too late to act, but it is necessary to do something toward reaching your goals. I am talking to myself as well as anyone who will listen and take heed. I agree with you that you should never give up. Even in what we see as failure there are vaulable lessons to be learned.

Yep. Perseverence and money. Even if you only have $5.00 per month to start, use that $5.00 wisely. I did. (look for specials, deals, second hand items and build up) I was a welfare mom, single, no education other than up to grade 11. I am on disability because of bipolar and learning disabilities and physical health issues and yet, here I am making my dreams come true. Why? Because I know I am better than all of that. I know that I CAN make my dreams come true through success and failure!!! Now, if I can do it with all of my problems, anyone can do it.

well my dream used to be having my own business which I have now had for over 5 years, then it was to retire at 40 which i have got aswell, now my updated target is to have a aston martin which I should have in the next 2/3 years. Tho once I get it then I'll have to aim for something else as if you hit your goal or dream then push on for a new dream. Its the only way to succeed to constantly be greedy and want more. twitter - benbo128

I don't really know what an Aston Martin is, so I will just go with Way to go!!! I know that once I realize my dreams, there is nothing left and so knowing that, I am always trying to learn new things, so that I will always have something. I am pleased to hear that you have done just that. You strove, you realized, you exceeded. It's wonderful :)) Thanks so much for your response :))

Congrats on finally landing your dream. I've also dreamt of owning my own real estate business someday if God wills. But my absolute dream is to own my own mortgage free home. I've never owned a home before and it has been a dream of mine for so many years. I'll still keep having hope.. and just wait on the God Lord timetable.. congratulations again..

i have a dream of having a music academy and a rescue shelter for dogs, but a different one, like one where dogs can be rehabilitated, and even if they dont find homes i wish i could have a big enough shelter to keep them. I am very weak with animals and dogs specially, so that is something i would like to do. Also a music academy back in my country because there are none there that are good, and when i was younger i wish i would have had one to develop my skills, so hopefully ill be able to do that :)

Thank you Tzaddi. I try to share what I learn with others especially when you are a nobody and through alot of hard work become a somebody. So many people have a dream or lifelong goals and most of them come up with excuses why they cant. I don't like the word "can't." I prefer "I tried and failed, now I'll try something else" :)) Thanks for your response :))

The funny thing with me is that I have never been to college or university and have never had training of any kind. I just do what I love and pray that it works for me. :)) I am glad to hear that you have goals in mind and that you and your BF are on that dream together and that you are getting the expertise to go with it. I wish you the best of luck :)) Thanks for your response :))

Congratulations on your success, my dream is a little different, I want a live an ideal and easy life in a quiet town, but that requires me a lofty amount of money first, I'm afraid I will gradually lose myself and forget the dream in the persue of material luxury.
