Days ago I posted a discussion of my not so good first transaction I had at ebay. What makes everything worse was I received just last friday a bill from international courier charging me of taxes for the shipment of my items. I bought an item from outside the country through online. Those are just personal accessories and I was furious with the tax charge cost, 25% of the declared value i guess. Oh, I felt so dissatisfied at all with my first purchase online across the board. I can actually buy those items lesser on physical stores here in my country. Its my fault I guess because I did not have knowledge about shipping tax. A friend advised me that a postal carrier is better and cheaper at all though it will take longer days. Guess I learned a good lesson on online purchasing. Are you aware of tax charge from a courier of international items you buy abroad?

No I didn't think about that I'm glad you told us so that I can add it into the cost if I order outside the country. We all learned something from your experience. Thanks

Oh yeah, I actually did. It just make me furious when I received that separate bill which was for the tax considering that the shipping fee i paid was really expensive. I will advise you to use the postal courier, my friend did not had to pay tax using it. Thanks for the response.

Oh we get things cheaper if we buy from Fed Ex. or a courier if we get something from the States (live in Canada) Our postal service really charges us. But I notice that things that we buy from the States are more expensive now. I thought it was the dollar change. I did not know it was the shipping rates. I guess I will have to be careful what I get.
