One of the methods to test blood glucose of the diabetes patients is to push needle on a finger of the concerned persons and suck their blood sample. This technique is painful for the patient. To release from this pain the engineers at the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Caligary,Canada have invented a device called the Electronic Mosquito or e-mosquito.This device contains four micro needles that 'bite' sequentially at programmed intervals.Th needles are electronically controlled to penetrate the skin deep enough to draw blood from a capillary, but not deep enough to hit a nerve. This means the patients experience little or no pain.

Hello bhanusb! I know what you're saying about testing whether the person has higher or lower sugar. My mom has it. It's just wonderful to know that people are making a new way to check with lesser pain especially for those people who are afraid of needles.

Is this for real? It sounds wonderful, I would rather have them take blood from my vein then stick my finger, that hurts for days. I hope this machine is available next time I have to have this done.
