Why do liberals pretend that terrorists didn't attack us under Clinton?

I'm getting really sick of all the liberals who lie and claim that we weren't attacked when Clinton was president. Whenever someone says "Bush kept us safe because after 9-11 we had 8 years with no terrorist attacks" you always get a democrat saying "Well he had 9-11 and you could say that Clinton kept us safe for 8 years because we had NO terrorist attacks under him." That's bull$hit. Under Clinton we were attacked EIGHT TIMES by terrorists both foreign and domestic. Most people can name 2 or 3 if their head isn't rammed too far up the butt of the democrat party. Here's a little chronology of our terrorist attacks under Bush and Clinton. Bush: September 11, 2001 - Terrorists hijack four U.S. commercial airliners taking off from various locations in the United States in a coordinated suicide attack. In separate attacks, two of the airliners crash into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, which catch fire and eventually collapse. A third airliner crashes into the Pentagon in Washington, DC, causing extensive damage. The fourth airliner, also believed to be heading towards Washington, DC, crashes outside Shanksville, PA., killing all 45 people on board. Casualty estimates from New York put the possible death toll close to 5,000, while as many as 200 people may have been lost at the Pentagon crash site. Clinton: Oct. 12, 2000 - A terrorist bomb damages the destroyer USS Cole in the port of Aden, Yemen, killing 17 sailors and injuring 39. Aug. 7, 1998 - Terrorist bombs destroy the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. In Nairobi, 12 Americans are among the 291 killed, and over 5,000 are wounded, including 6 Americans. In Dar es Salaam, one U.S. citizen is wounded among the 10 killed and 77 injured. June 21, 1998 - Rocket-propelled grenades explode near the U.S. embassy in Beirut. July 27, 1996 - A pipe bomb explodes during the Olympic games in Atlanta, killing one person and wounding 111. June 25, 1996 - A bomb aboard a fuel truck explodes outside a U.S. air force installation in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. 19 U.S. military personnel are killed in the Khubar Towers housing facility, and 515 are wounded, including 240 Americans. Nov. 13, 1995 - A car-bomb in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia kills seven people, five of them American military and civilian advisers for National Guard training. The "Tigers of the Gulf," "Islamist Movement for Change," and "Fighting Advocates of God" claim responsibility. April 19, 1995 - A car bomb destroys the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people and wounding over 600. February 1993 - A bomb in a van explodes in the underground parking garage in New York's World Trade Center, killing six people and wounding 1,042.

Because they don't care... if it wasn't done while Bush was in office, then it doesn't matter. R.Kennedy was assassinated by a Pakistani... and the Iran Hostage Crisis happened under Carter. And the list goes on...

Very good Post Taskr! It proves that this has been going on for a long time and that it will not be over for a long time. We must still be prepared for the long haul. Even if things do calm down in Iraq, it will spring up again in another spot just as it is in Pakistan. The Taliban is of course going after ready made nuclear. It is easier than waiting for Iran to finish making them. They will then be able to attack us or anyone in the Mid East or Europe. We must always be prepared and not start cutting our military budget like Obama plans to do! He is going to leave us wide open for a take over. Shalom~Adoniah

It's a bit more than paranoia in Pakistan. The Taliban is marching through that country and last I heard were only 60 miles away from Islamabad. Pakistan is a nuclear armed nation and those terrorist want nuclear weapons. Do you also believe Hillary Clinton is paranoid? She considers this a serious issue as well.

Thank you for posting this. I can't seem to get it through a liberal's head either. I think when they think of the Clinton years they see rainbows and puppy dog tails. Thing is all those attacks and under Clinton no action... until the day before his impeachment trial and he drops some bombs that some how people forget that today.

It's nice to see the ancient art of crafting strawmen is still alive and productive.

I'm not crafting any straw men, I'm stating facts so people understand that despite the lies, we were attacked by terrorists several times in the 90's. Are you claiming that the attacks I listed didn't happen?

No, I'm claiming you're omitting events post-2001 to make your theory look sound, and also ignoring a wider perspective. I suppose the bombings in Madrid and London were completely unrelated to Bush's policies from your blinkered viewpoint.

I guess they don't think attacking our military counts. Or maybe for the same reason they all seem to think we attacked Iraq for oil and to go after Saddam. I don't think they watch the news, they just repeat what they hear others say.

Well too many of them would rather watch MSNBC or The Daily Show than real news. At least with The Daily Show they aren't lying about what they do.
