PLEASE HELP!!!................I Can't Possibly Do It All By Myself!!!

i was walking down the street yesterday and as i passed a bus stop i noticed a large advertisement.
it featured a familiar friendly face wearing a park ranger hat.
yes, i was my old friend Smokey The Bear. 
but what really struck me was the caption at the bottom.........it said "ONLY YOU can prevent forest fires"
and i thought GEEEEZ......with all the billions of people on this planet, that's a huge burden to put on JUST ME!!!
i mean they should at least let me have an assistant or something, but it clearly stated ONLY I can prevent forest fires.
so the rest of you........go ahead and carelessly flick your cigarettes out your car windows..........leave your smoldering camp fires un-attended.........celebrate this years 4th of July in the woods with all the illegal fireworks you can carry.
.............i'll do my best.

I saw that he ain't aiming for the fire... uhhh oh' sorry folks yep he aimed straight for the fire, I think it was blazing hot... But I turned away leaving him to deal with that fire of his and hers and well it was time for me to leaves...

It's very sad the powers that be have picked the WRONG PERSON to take on this mammoth task! Not that you can't be trusted with a hose - I'm sure you're just as capable of brandishing one as any other person - but you're so busy with your farm, your reef, your gardens, your ponds, your oceans ... how can you be all things to all men? I wish you well with your new endeavour, however. Three Hail Mary's and a big block of cheddar!

Well, I think in reality this refers back to all of us when they say "YOU." The main thing is how many people out there will really Stop and take this to heart and do what they need to do to help stop Forest fires as well. I think these warnings are out there for all of us, and will hopefully get more people to think like you are. If we all continue to do our part, good things will continue to happen.

Hahahaha!!! I LOVE your post! That's the funniest thing I've heard in awhile actually. Thank you for personally ridding the world of forest fires... but aparently you took on the task too late... there's a nice brush fire burning in the woods down the road a ways from us... want to swing by and help prevent it from spreading? lol

How OLD is Smokey The Bear these days anyway? Shouldn't he be playing parcheesie and backgammon in a retirement village by now? 
I reckon that dude's actually a pyromaniac and he's been leading us all on for years. Start fires = putting 'em out = Smokey's in business! What I love are those TV commercials for women's products like moisturizer etc. They always tell us that we "Owe it to ourself!" I do man, I DO owe it to myself. One day I'll take the plunge.....

I just saw a documentary about Smokey on...I think it was called Robot Chicken something or other. Apparently he got his name from ( get this ) dealing pot. Yea, that whole campaign is the community service he was sentenced to after being caught.
I hope this doesn't upset the great bear god. I've always said the best profits were tripping on something.
Don't worry though. I'm throwing all my fireworks into the fire I've built at the base of this dam. I figure if everything is under water it won't burn ...right?

Can i light a fire under your bum ? You couldnt possibly prevent it.. but you could pee on it or something to put it out ? :P i dunno how else to respond to this.. so i figured i'd respond anyways and just kinda ramble on and on for a bit. . I think that by YOU it means generally.. YOU.. like.. everyone. cause if YOU dont start a fire, and I dont start a fire, and No one ELSE starts a fire.. then there will be no fires set by people.. but then there are lightning bolts and natural ways of fires starting in the woods, so no one could pervent those ones in that theory.. hmm. what say ye now ?

Don't worry sconibear, Smokey Bear has plenty of friends to help out. I happen to be one of them, I even stood in for Smokey to promote forest fire prevention. But my main job is being one of the wildland firefighters that gets called out when someone does something stupid, like leaving a campfire unattended or not making sure it is completely put out before leaving it. And several times for careless use of fireworks.

wow i will definitely be doing my part. i like to raise awareness for animal cruelty, and domestic pet abuse. and sometimes it feels like im the only one promoting it and i bet you that you cant even imagine the things some of these owners do to their pet i don't think they even deserved to be called owners of their pets their pets wanted nothing more but the love and adoration of their owner only to be beaten and starved instead. its hurtful to see such a thing. and when you have a picture that sticks in your mind you tend to remember it forever. cheers love.

when my oldest daughter was born, some genius thought it would be a good idea to give us a diaper service with the cloth diapers and a little PLASTIC diaper hamper.
...........yeah.........that lasted about a month.

Seemingly impossible task??? Like repairing a broken life devastated and ripped apart by political terrorists? I also read the same sign that said only I could prevent forest fires. So you are not alone but hey' wait a second who is going to help me?
