Have you been laid off and what is your plan?

In such difficult economic times more and more people are loosing their jobs. I lost mine this past Thursday. I had hoped the company could hold on but I guess not. Half of us got it Thursday and the other half will get it in the next week. I filed for my unemployment Thursday night when I got home but job search is difficult when there are no jobs. I ended up paying for access to home jobs and applied to 7 in one night.... no reply to any of them, only a few confirmations. My plan was to search hard until I landed a new job but after doing so Friday I found I'm wasting gas to go search because I can search online. I have no plan now... I would love to think I could sit at home and make fair wages but I haven't found anything that doesn't cost a fortune to start. I hope everything works for the rest of the unemployed community and I hope your plans work better than mine did so tell me..... What's your plan?

I got layed off in the beginning of February and still have not yet found a job. I really have no plan but to keep looking for a job online and to keep writing articles on associated content and as much as i really can because i need the extra money really bad and it hurts to not have a big income all the time. I do of course get the unemployment but its never enough and not enough for what you need it to be for. I do what i can but of course everyday i am online looking for a job.

I understand completely. I had to pay some bills today so I decided to do some job search while I was out but turned up with nothing. I am trying to be optimistic but my husband has been laid off since November, and his unemployment only covers utilities and gas for the cars really. It came as such a surprise to loose my job with such short notice so the income loss will hit hard soon as we didn't really have time to prepare. It will all work out and hopefully jobs will come for both you and I ... and all the other people w/o work soon.
