Does anyone know what size photos you need to upload them to myLot? I know I need to have 500 points first. I have quite a few digital photos, but I also have a lot of 35mm slides I can scan.

Is this only for when you post a question or something or when you add them to your profile. I just added some photos to my profile and I don't have 500 points next to my name, in fact I'm a newbie and only have a few?

please someone answer this as I'd like to do this, too! I just bought a nice camera on ebay and I wanted to post pictures on the web to make money. I have other sites to go to, but since I spend some time here, it'd be nice to post some here as well. thanks in advance!

The way I interpret what I read on myLot's information pages is that posting photos on your profile is nice, but you don't receive any payments. It's only after you reach 500 points that you can add photos to discussions, and therefore, earn a little money. I'm assuming the money you earn is like what you earn for answering and starting discussions. Evidently you don't need high resolution photos for myLot if they're going to compress them to 256k. I also have many digital photos, but have plan to scan 35mm slides I've taken over the years. I've been investigating stock photo companies and will probably join them. You don't have to join only one; you still retain the copyright to your photos. I've got iStock, Shutterstock, Picable, and Bigstock bookmarked to read more about them, but I did check on the image size on iStock photo. The minimum file size is 6mb or 1200 pixels x 1600 pixels. I'm sure the other companies have similar requirements. I doubt I have taken many digital images that large, but I just ordered a slide/negative scanner that will handle scanning large files. I can post my smaller digital images to myLot when I qualify.

I have added photos from my digital camera only. But someone told me that in order to earn with pictures, someone had to comment your picture. He is allowed to do that only if he is your friend.

I haven't read this, but I hope it's not true. It wouldn't be worth posting photographs if you're doing it to earn a little more money.
