Well we did actually were in a gang of sorts. Young and restless days of high school life. Against all odds and all that crap. But in fairness to those who weren't in the bad azz directory. Most kids call their close group of friends a gang. It's a school or street thing anyway. Most of us turned up to be pretty good citizens later if that's any consolation. lol. Cheers!

oh and yeah. mostly kids in the gang do nicknamed everyone to the most distinguishing part we had or by the things we are more noted for. I once recalled most of us called a member of our gang "sprocket" as he was always tinkering around with bike stuff. We also called one "moros" which means muslim, as he was of muslim decent and actually looked like a real rajah if he had that headpiece thing on his head. And lastly one I could never forget was calling one of our wild members "rhino". Beastie character he was, he would charge any intruder without thought. Kid life was fun and silly. I thought it was instrumental in bringing out the best of us later in life. hehehe.

hi maxilimian
almost everyone has nicknames, especially when at the primary school until university. a nickname is made in order to recognize someone more easily, because some people have the same name. i has at least 4 different nickname during the primary school until university.because I have moved to several cities, the nickname has not been in use.unless at the time of reunion.

Jill Beth is the nickname my mom gave me, short for Jill Elizabeth. She wanted to name me Jillbeth but dad said no, it had to be Elizabeth. But I could tell if she was happy with me or not by what she called me.
Happy: Jill Beth
Not happy: Jill ELIZABETH!!
Nobody else has ever called me by that name, but my dad calls me Jilly once in a while. I thought jillbeth made a good screen name, I just put the two names into one.
In school I was called "Stringbean" or "Beanpole" a lot because I was so tall and skinny. I got the last laugh, though, because over 30 years later I am still at my HS graduation weight, and all the girls who teased me are big as barns!

lol That's really different! so it's look like an alert for you, because you know if your mother calls you with the different name, it means that she is in anger or not
naaaa, just ignore them who tease you with that "nickname" they give to you, because if someone saying a words to other people, it will come back to themselves
Have a nice day Jillbeth

Hi maxilimian! As a child I was so skinny, my friends and family used to called me in my nickname except my brother that used to make fun of me. He been calling me match stick and I used to get so upset sometimes because the others kids will hear it specially when we're playing and start to make fun at me also. But that's changed when I reached teens because I've gained some weight and not skinny anymore, lol.

Yes, I do have a nickname and actually my parents were not calling me by that name. It was kept by my grandparents and so all my relatives call me still now by that nickname. As in my life, all my friends as well as my family call me out by by real name only!!
