Last Sunday,I participated an interview for post-graduate examination.I didn't pay more attention to it and ever prepared for it.I thought I wasn't given the chance for that interview, but to my surprise,I received the notify. Those days,I didn't take it seriously. So far,I can remember the scene clearly. Before the interview begen,I felt a little nervous when I knew I was the third and I selected a topic which I didn't know much about.I began to worry about my interview. My oral English is poor and I seldom do some practices.I told myself calm down and everything would be better soon. When it was to my turn for the interview,my mind blank.I came in the office,7 teachers sited around me.Oh,my god.One of the teacher ask me to introduce myself.I was so nervous that I just said 5 sentences. The question about my major was also disappointed. At the time,I even wanted to cry.The tears were around my eyes.I felt helpless. I'm so regret. If I prepare it absolutely, the result would be turn good. what about you?will you nervous? How do you get rid of that situation?

always be prepared - for interviews
i used to get nervous before but now i think I've gained my confidence. interviews could be unpleasant for you if you're not that prepared. During your job interviews, you will be enthusiastic, likable, determined, and informed. These traits are all more important than your job qualifications. Because you know this and are well prepared, you will blow away your competition!

yeah,I am a little nervous when I participate an interview, and it depend on the situation and the interviewer.if he/she looks extrovert and not too dull,I will feel at ease too and it will be easier to answer the questions. If they all looks very serious and rigid,I will feel nervous either.next time when you have an interview you'd better prepare well for it,I find if we get well prepared then we will be more confident and less nervous. good luck

Hi, friend. I personally believe that getting cold feet or feeling nervous during an interview is just normal. And I have been interviewed for a job position several times in the past already. If I recall it right, my first job interview came 6 months after graduation and almost a month after I took the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) Board examination. But before I was interviewed by the firm's Personnel Head, I was given a written test which I was able to pass. In less than a week, I received a notice from the same company and fortunately, I was hired by them. I stayed with the company for more than 5 years. It could have been longer had it not for the retrenchment program initiated by the firm then. Left with no choice, I had to look for my next employment and during that time, I decided to apply for a job with the national government. Anyway, I'm with my third employment now as a financial analyst with a local bank for more than 4 years. However, we are expecting a notice of separation to be sent to us soon, maybe before the 3rd quarter starts. Regards, friend.

I tend to get nervous during interviews too. What I always tell myself is that it will soon be over. I always try to calm myself because when I am nervous it reflects on my voice and on the way I answer the interview questions. This is a very timely topic here in mylot because I will be applying for a job tomorrow and I will undergo exam and interviews. I wish I could answer calmly and I could say the right words. I am not so good in responding orally but more confident when I put my answers in writing. Anyway I always prepare the night before an interview so that I could answer confidently tomorrow. I will read sample answers to interview questions so that I have something in mind. I also make it a point that I answer right from my mind and honestly from the heart. I always believe that there is no substitute for preparation and so this will be my last response for tonight. Wish me all the best tomorrow!

I remember when I had my first job interview, I was really nervous even though ew had lots of pratices at school of job interview, it is still different when you are facing the real deal. I acted I didn't feel nervous and talked normal but actually IO was sweating and the hand under the table were shaking like crazy. I passed that interview and got that job afterwards. I don't feel crazy nervous anymore, a little bit but not that much. I feel more nervous to play tournament poker now! haha :-p

well i remember the intervive which is for my first job very clear. I was so nervous that i can fall asleep at the ninght before that day and kept thinking again and again which question they will ask and how to answer. Fornuately the intervive went very well and i got the offer. So i think if we well prepare it, we will be less nervous during interview.

Hi,friend,What you had experienced also happened on me two years ago,but I seemed not so nervous as you were.Because I well knew that I will take the interview some day,so I made enough prepartion, especially psychological aspect. You became so nervous because you didn't prepare well,it resulted in your bad feeling about the interview. But it also reflected you should enhance your confidence sometime

Hello ritefangfangliliang! I just had an interviewed recently, and I'm totally nervous. I do prepare for it, but maybe because I'm staying home (unemployed for 5 months) and not much talking to others (just talk with my family) than it make me difficult to throw a word. My English is poor too, and haven't practice it for a very long time. I reckon maybe that also could be the reason for me to had such a difficult to speak. So now, I'm realize that we have to build and improve more on communication skills. The way we throw our voices is also important. During that interview I couldn't speak louder. I don't understand why did my voice cannot be aloud as I use to be (at home. We have to practice and practice more. I had read some article regarding how to improve communication skills. One fact that interest me is, we could improve it by improve our left brain (if I'm not mistaken). The way to improve it by try to doing daily thing with our left hand. Maybe trying write with left hand (if you are right handed). We have train our mind so that it can perform faster. So good luck :)
