I don't think this concept of Mobile TV will be very successful. People may like to try just to see how it works or what it appears like. Else, watching TV on a 2 or 3 inch screen where we can hardy figure out things doesn't look that promising to me. Even I have tried watching streaming videos on my Nokia N70M Cell Phone and it was damn bad! It looks good for first few minutes since its a new thing, but later on I got frustrated with the damn small hard to figure out pictures.
Also, watching video (or TV) uses the Mobile screen continuously and consumes the Phone Battery a lot and the phone gets discharged in an hour or two.

But tv phone use different method than streaming which you mentioned. I have tried watching streaming too and you right, it was hard to figure the picture out. But on tv phone, it has built in tv tuner. So it could has better picture quality. Maybe the only problem is on the battery as you mentioned.

I gave streaming as an example. The main point is the screen size. It churns out the feeling of watching on Mobile TV, something we like. For me, the TV screen is better as big as it goes!!

Hi, dianmelydia! Are you referring to mobile phones that are made in china? It has a built in television but it has disadvantages, try to view my post on your discussion about china mobile. Symbian phones can do it also, just install the application called roktv. You can watch many programs with it depending on the signal strength. If you are happy with your phone, I suggest you to take good care of it because its durability was uncertain. Happy mylotting...=)

A lot of Chinese/Korean Cell phones that are being used here in India do not have IMEI Number (Unique Identification Code for a Mobile), and the Govt is soon going to disable these phones by asking Cellular Service providers for it, since they pose a security threat.

Well i would but only as an additional phone because i am quite contented with my phone right now. I think the only phone that provides tv are chinaphones. I don't chinaphones have the best quality in terms of design and durability. But since chinaphones are cheap, then maybe i can give it a go just for the tv. I don't mind watching tv on small screens. I think it's quite convenient because i can bring it anywhere.

Yes, their cheap price is the only one reason worth to buy it. But sometimes it's hard to find a good point for tv signal since it use analogue system.
