I want to organize a freezer meal swap group in my neighborhood. I do freezer meals and a lot of people have mentioned they would like a swap.
How should I organize something like this? How do I keep it from being just a bunch of lasagnas? Should I set a price on the meals so we dont get frozen boxed mac and cheese? How many in the group? How often to meet?
Do any of you partisipate in something like this?

First off, to see how much interest you will have in the idea I would hang up some flyers so that people interesting in joining in can contact you and you can begin a participant list.
After that, outline some basic group rules such as "no boxed food" to be sure everyone is bringing the real deal.
To keep from getting a ton of lasagna every time make people report before its time to exchange what they plan to make so that if you have more then one person preparing the same thing you can give the heads up that maybe everyone other then the first one who reported should choose something different for that week.
A simple Yahoo Group is also a good way to keep the group organized and up to date.
Best of luck!

I have a list of families that want to join me, and they all live close enough to walk to which is nice.
The "No boxed food" rule is a great one. Having people report to me will be a great helper to keep it on track and organized, and I can help stop the million lasagnas too. Thank you.
