At the moment, I feel not not bored but tired of being a student. I am in my third school after High School without taking any breaks. I do not like getting up early anymore, spending four hours in class, and coming home with more work to do. I probably should try to enjoy it because there will be that day when it's time to get a career, but it can be difficult. If I do get into the right job, than maybe there won't be work I have to take home with me everyday.

If I have a class in the morning or not, I still have to babysit until at least 6:00 pm. The evening is when I am able to concentrate the most on the stuff I do. There are also the weekends, when I don't babysit, but I stay up to watch certain shows.

geez, let's think of other students like me .. I don't speak English, so it's many times harder for me to catch up in school. since it takes time to comprehend the language in various subjects, so ... you're luckier than me, buddy, keep trying!

Hi, mymhie. From my point of view, high school learning is the fundamental for college studies. If we do not learn well in high school, then we need put much effort into the college studies in order to understand the subjects and get better results. I guess you have learnt from the mistakes you had made in high school, but do not be unmotivated, you can still catch up the subjects if you want to! I have many friends who studied different major in high school but they changed their major when they are in college, look at them, they still can score good results. The point is only have to be hardworking little bit and practise the questions more. If you do not understand the subjects, you can always approach your lecturers, i believe they will be helpful. Sometimes i am bored of being a student of certain lecturer, as some of them are really bored, their lectures are tedious. I do not find any attractive part in the lecture, then i will feel i am just wasting my time in the class. Most of the time, i will just skip the classes, but i do study the topics myself at home to make sure i can catch up the lecture. Anyway, do not give up. Education is good for every one. Take care and happy mylotting.

Sometimes I am...But you know why, its because i dont like it or i dont have an interest on it.But in effect, im experienceing a difficulty in remembering those topics which i think relevant in my succeding years of study. Think of it, as a play so that you will never get bored.

That's right, we have to strengthen our base, our fundamentals, which are built up right from KindgerGarten to High! If those things aren't clear, it's incredibly hard to carry on further :P I think you might've heard this saying - To construct a sustainable, high quality building, you must first ensure that the foundation of the base is laid out strong, otherwise no matter how many times you try to keep building on a weak foundation, it will always keep collapsing mid-way :o Education follows a similar basis. I'd suggest you go back through the books or presentations of your High School stuff, the subjects you missed out side by side as you do your College Stuff, that way if in future you face something, you'll know what you've learnt! :)

I am a lazy student I admit, but people say I make it because of my intelligence. I skip school, don't pass, don't listen to teachers, and let a day at school breeze by without a glitch. I've been cutting classes since high school too, too bad I always end up at the top of the class. That aside, if I were you, try to do better in school. Submit stuff on time. Be present. Listen to lectures. Take down notes. Make new friends. That's help you get over your boring college life. Friends can keep you away from the stuff you do alone, you can cut classes or go to classes with them, it's up to you. Just remember to try to be an example to your group. It's not bad to goof around. Students always need to play. In my case, if can't play, I won't do good in school. Think of it as a rewards system -- 'if I go to class, I'll get myself this' or 'if I pass, I'll go somewhere'. That is to give yourself an objective so you can stay focused on doing your school tasks. Always remember that all work no play makes you a dull boy.

Well it's good that you're learning your lesson. I just think it's a little late... but not too late :) You find college difficult because you didn't attend to your high school classes and didn't learn enough to meet the college demands. You can still catch up - and that's the good part. Keep yourself busy with school work and with reviewing your lessons and relearning your lessons so you won't get bored :D I thought college was fun by the way :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Some lessons were boring but not all. I enjoyed my student life. If I could turn back the hands of time, I'd want to be a student.

Well, then you learned you lession. You should focus more on your studies rather than thinking something fun right now. We all need to go through the process of suffering. After we gain our proficient skills, we can have our fun then. That is the way it is. Don't you learn now?
