What are you doing as a precaution to swine flu?

I wash my hands a little more frequently that usual, and keep my hands away from eyes, nose, and mouth. I will not use an eating utensil or glass once used by another person without it being washed. At this point, these precautions would be sufficient as preventive measures. I live in Yuma, AZ, just 25 miles from the border. California and Texas has a few confirmed cases, and Arizona just confirmed one case today, in Phoenix (180 miles away). Mexican medical authorities say there are no cases in Baja California or in Sonora, the two states in Mexico directly south. So at this point, I am concerned but not alarmed. I do think that this swine flu does bear watching.

I am living a purposeful life. If I had kept myself in the closet everytime something could hit me, I would have lived in a bubble. As it is, I have lived a wonderful life with love and sorrow. If the flu hits me, it will be a pity. Not for the flu, but because they should change the name of it. I wouldn´t like to get an animal´s illness, specially pigs Take care. More people are dying of hunger every day than those who will die from this flu. And What are we doing about it?

Right now since there is no reported incident then I would say that I am still not that afraid that it has reached our country. Right now the only thing I can do is to watch out for news that would indicate that there are cases that happened in my place. I am still doing the usual thing I do and not panicking at all. I have witnessed the bird flu epidemic in Asia and so far Philippines was not among the list of countries that was affected by it. We were bird flu free during those times hopefully this time we would not get affected by it too. The Government officials have been doing the usual preparation to stop that virus from coming in. And they even prepared the quarantine rooms in the hospital designated by them. There is a constant watch in Airports for anyone they spotted having high temperature and for the past days none was found as of yet.
