I got up this morning like any other morning, I got the baby up, we got dressed, i changed her.. the next step in my routine is usually to get some coffee into my sleepo deprived body so my eyelids will stay open.. I put the coffee in the basket, i put the water in the coffee maker (its a one cuper thank god) and hit the button and walked away to take the garbage to the shoot.. I come back to the smell of coffee but when i walk into the kitchen my cup is on the counter.. HUH? i thought to myself.. i look in the cup.. double HUUH? the cup is empty... wait a second here... What's all this stuff all over the counter.. did the coffee maker leak ? and then.. it dawned on me.. OH FOR (many four letter + explicits) I forgot to put the cup in so the coffee was made.. but now i'd either have to drink it off the counter or clean it up and attempt to make a new one without electrocuting myself!! haha. well.. now i have some coffee and i didn't get any jolts today.. woot. good start to my day! but i DID get supper in the crock pot without sloshing meaty juice all over myself so i'm halfway to a good day!! When was the last time you did something so silly ? oh and yes what was it ?

My ex-wife used to hide the dirty dishes in there. It was pathetic.

You are way too young to be having senior moments...at least if I did something like that I have an excuse...To tell the truth I did have one of those moments yesterday when I got home from work....I was listening to a song on the radio when i pulled up to the house and without thinking I was going to get out of the car which was still running and in drive....the minute I took my foot off the brake though I knew I had had a duh moment!

lol well if i'm having senior moments and i've not had a midlife crissis yet.. I'M IN BLOODY TROUBLE! hahaha I think its probably a really good thing that i dont drive.. I forget a lot of things.. i have to really pay attention and put effort into driving and there is no way i could possibly drive with my two kids in the back seat screaming lol. i'd have to pull over and have a melt down myself i think!!

I do silly stuff like that ALL the time. One of the more recent events was 2 days ago. I was waiting for the bus for about 15 minutes, chatting it up with some people I know, etc. When the bus turned the corner, I reached into my purse to get my bus pass out, only to remember I'd left it at home! DOH!!! So back home I went, and got on the next bus 30 minutes later. lol. Yesterday, I made sure to make my facebook status message say that I was "heading out to the bus stop with an umbrella AND bus pass".

haha. at least you didn't loose your bus pass! hehe. a girl near here lost hers on the bus and my jhuhbby actually msg'd her on facebook and gave it back to her.. there was only like 10 days left when he found it, and it took her almost 5 to tell him where to meet her.. i coulda used that today!! haha.

I'd go a bit nutty ... okay... more than I already am that is... without my bus pass. There's a section on it where you can put your name and address on the monthly portion of the pass, and the local transit will mail it to you if someone turns it in to them... but I don't want to put the info on there in case I DO lose it... lol... why would I want some stranger, possible stalker, knowing where I live? I grew up in Toronto... I take things a bit more cautiously even though I'm in London now.

I haven't done that, but when I was trying to make chili this winter I forgot to plug in the crock pot. A little later, after I'd plugged it in, I realized I had forgotten to turn it on!

.....trying to put the bottle nipple on the milk jug. That has happened here more then I'll admit. Walked out of the house with perfectly dressed kids and my slippers still on. Hubby wore a Worlds Greatest Mom shirt to work.... still hasn't overcome that one.

The little one has issues and couldn't latch on correctly... But yeah we've done the cup lid too but shhhhhh... I still rib Kevin about that shirt. I think we'll be old and playing with the grandkid's first born and I'll remind him about the shirt.

My absent-minded hubby does stuff like that all the time. If he doesn't do something like that atleast once a day, I start to wonder if he's having an out of body experience, or something. LOL One day he popped dinner in the oven (a frozen lasagna), and set the timer for an hour. When it went off an hour later (we were both hungry as anything) the freaking thing was FROZEN!! He'd set the timer, but he forgot to turn on the friggen oven. We put the lasagne back in the freezer, and went out for dinner that night. LOL

Well Sissy, just know that your not alone I too have done the same kind of thing while being exhausted. For Angelina's first three months she had a severe case of colic! Their were times when I would be running off of 8-10 hours of sleep a WEEK! You can only imagine the funny and stupid things I did lol. For example made coffee with no coffee pot to "catch" it and had a hell of a mess to clean, put cereal in the fridge and milk in the cupboard, and many other silly things!

Just the other day I was heating soup in the microwave for lunch, and I left the spoon in. Oops! That really could have been scary and messy had I not caught it in time!

Where do you want me to start: The washing up I took to the shower; the kettles that haven't boiled because I didn't switch them on; the oven that I've switched on and then put the food to be cooked in the other oven (we've got a double oven); the times that I have driven to the rail station when I meant to go into town. (I used to go their frequently when I ws working and I forget that I'm not there now!!!) Any more?

Oh, you know like "Forgetting to put water in the coffee maker and wonder why there's no coffee ready when we get up, or put the milk in the cupboard after using it and later on looking all over for it. Sconibear put water in his coffee instead of milk a couple times.

hahahaha!! I have done this!! Only I was at work and it was iced tea!! I was opening at a restaurant and I was rushing around trying to get everything ready. Well, every night we would pull the tea's down and clean them out. They were those huge tea maker basins. Well when you clean them you open the valve and let the soap and water run out. Well, when I was putting it back together, I forgot to close the valve. So, when I started the tea that day, it just ran all over the floor. My manager made fun of me for at least a week! I was so embarrassed! But it happens!
