Question about beta testers

Are their any beta testers here on mylot? Is it hard and worth it? But is required? I have been reading some articles but I want opinion from my friends here on mylot.

I have beta tested a number of programs... none of which paid cash though. Beta testers are usually just rewarded with a free copy of whatever they are testing... Technically anyone with a gmail email account is a beta tester as it is still in beta mode (but that's probably more of a running gag than anything since they've been in beta since they began).
