What will you do on Mother's Day? What will you give your Mother for her special day?

My fiance and I aren't sure what we're going to do for our mother's on mother's day but I am sure if nothing else we'll try to get them a card. My fiance and I live with his mother, so maybe help her clean the day before, etc, if she'll let us... lol, mothers. In any case, for my mom we may visit her, or I'll call her, and we'll talk to her, etc.

That is nice. I think spending time, if you can, on her special day with her means so much. Also, maybe cooking dinner or taking her out to eat. But, just being there and a card and loving her is the most important.

You are not alone, maybe you have someone that you look up to as a Mother? I still have my Mother-in-law. I will buy her something nice. Welcome to Mylot.

I do not know what I will be doing on Mother's Day. My husband usually takes me & my daughters out for Mother's Day to eat after church. So, I would assume we will be doing that. Also, I do not have a Mother to give a Mother's Day present to.

Coming from a small family, we are not fond of celebrating occassions such as this especially now that I am working already. My parents are very practical, what we need is what they usually provide. Buying gifts comes so rare that it takes a lot of pressure from peers, friends or relatives to make us do such. But as time passes, I get this feeling that its about time I treat my mom the way millions of people do on this day. To justify my mom's practicality, I'll probably just treat her with stuff wherein she would appreciate me a lot like dining out to satisfy her cravings or buying things that she would regularly use. For the past years I gave her simple things like flip flops and the likes. I know my mom would appreciate anything coming from me. And that makes her special for me everyday.

I'm not sure yet what we'll do on Mother's Day. My brother and his family are coming to visit and arrive the day before. I haven't talked to him about any plans yet. It's also my nephew's birthday, so we'll have two things to celebrate that day. As for what I'm going to get my mom, she's big on Rod Stewart right now. She bought one of his CD's where he sings some of the old timeless songs. She's hooked! She didn't know he has several albums like that until she looked it up. I'm thinking I might get her the others to help her complete the collection.

We don't celebrate Mother's day ( not that we don't care about our Mom). I don't recall ever celebrating it when we are small. I think it was just recently that we had the hang of the mother's day thing. Anyways, I was planning on giving my mom some flowers or I'd give her some cash so she could buy what she really wants. As for me, last mother's day my husband gave me flowers and he thought our daughter to greet me Happy Mother's Day (she can't speak that well yet then) which I found so sweet.
