Any one tried Sharper Image air purifiers for their allergies or asthma? i was reading up on them because i got a great deal on them at amazon.com and im hoping it will help out with my asthma and allergies.. some people said they were able to stop their medication or cut back a lot on it after using them and some people that were severely allergic to dogs were able to go to peoples houses that had big dogs as long as they ran the machines..
i would give a link here but the company is filing bankruptcy so their site isnt showing their products anymore (which is why i did a search) but they sound great to me!! i like the idea that i wont have to use filters since i dont know how many air purifiers i have had yet dont use because they all need new filters!!
so does anyone have any experience with them? i wont know for a few days but im curious!! my house really needs one with my pets and the city pollution..

I havent tried them - i do remember hearing about them about 10 years ago when there was a class action suit about them. but i cant remember what it was for and what happend with that.
I have heard of air purifiers helping with allergies and asthma but I've never tried it myself.

all i heard about them was consumer reports was saying they pollute because they let off an ozone but its passes every test there is as safe.. i mean im all for saving the environment but if its almost an non existent amount and can help my health by me getting off a TON of meds then im all for it

Never tried that, but an air purifier would have been really nice the other day when my husband was fixing the wall in the bathroom (putting the plastic pannels back up in the shower after they fell off) used some kind lf glue that smelled like nail polish remover, and boy did it stink in here for about two years. LOL An air purifier of some sort would have been really nice.
