how do i stpo my dog chewing furniture

He could be teething. I find that dogs really like to chew one ice chips/ice cubes, especially when they are teething. Good luck

My advice is that you should beat the dog every time it chews on something.. If it wants to avoid the beatings it will avoid chewing on your stuff. good luck with the dog

Get him loads of toys. Try different ones. Try a spray to keep the dog out of your furniture. If all fails, get rid of your furniture.

I was going to suggest that it may be teething too. Ice cubes are great for teething, as the last poster said. Also, dogs teeth for a long time, so I always keep dog chewies around... you can buy actual chewy treats or even chew toys made for teething pups. The toys usually have little bumps on them and are also good for their gums and teeth as they get older. Raw hide is not really good for them bcuz they can eat too much or too fast and it doesn't digest well. Most pet stores sell pig ears and hooves which are better for them.
