When my two oldest children were younger I couldn't wait until they got old enough to do things for thier selves. I have to say my oldest one is graduating this year and starting college and I am so sad about it.I am happy he is grown and I trust I have given him all he needs to take care of himself. On the other hand I am so sad he is leaving. He is my first born and my only son and I know I have to let him go but I am sad to see him leave. I know I have other children but my next child will be graduating early in January and I am going to loose another one. My house will feel so empty in the next 2 years and thank God I have a seven year old. I don't know what I am going to do when she gets old enough to leave.

when my child was first born, i loved how innocent she was, never saying a word and her only worries were being hungry and sucking the right finger. kids are the most angelic at these times where not a single evil thought goes through their mind and they just look at you with all the adoration and love in the world while you take it all in and wonder how ever did you get such a beautiful child. nobody wants their child to grow older but do too at the same time, you kind of want your baby to stay as your baby but you also want them to grow up and benefit from what life has to give, what joy can life bring them, and what they will learn to experience in the future. don't be confuse, its the way its suppose to be all you can do is help nurture your child, he/she has got to grow on his/her own. and hopefully you have done all you can and im sure you are a great parent. there is no way to be a perfect parent but a million and one ways to be a pretty good one. do not fret my dear, when it is time to let go, your pride and joy shall overwhelm you for having such an amazing child. good luck and god bless you and your family. cheers love.

I kind of understand how you feel. I do feel the same way sometime like when my kids is mischievous or naughty, I wanted them to grow up. But when they are so cute and loving I hope they won't grow up.

I think when you want them to grow old faster, you have so much trouble with them like they're mischievous or get into trouble. That just weary thought of the moment. But when you wish things will never change, you probably so happy at that moment. Great life, great family, your kids make you feel so proud, you don't want that to change.
